Short answer: No.
Speculative answer:
Sounds like they are getting shipment in next week sometime. If it is a boat shipment, it could be quite large and make a huge dent in the 1st. Who knows, it might even finish the first list. I doubt early 2nd list customers (I am one) will see any action till another shipment comes in, possibly even a shipment after that.

I'm definitely on the first list but have yet to hear from Emotiva, though I'm one of those that hasn't for sure decided to use my 40% on the UMC-1 or XMC-1. Having just received a USP-1 with an ERC-1 I'm definitely leaning towards the UMC-1.

I got 2 messages... maybe I signed up twice but will happily get 2 units if they will send them, it indicated a few months time, that was 8 Jan.
I am pretty sure this is based on the end of October 2nd preorder list and not my expression of interest to Cathy directly via mail back in August 2009

I wonder if they would be willing to say something like: "There are less the XXX on the first list..." where XXX = 100/200/300...?

When I called customer service last week to confirm I was on the second pre-order list, she said I should see my unit mid to late March. I just signed up on the pre-order last month right before they closed it. Keep in mind they are probably shipping a couple pallets of these things loaded into a container with all the amps that are due too. Coming from China they wont just order ten or twenty, it isn't cost effective.

They are careful in what they say to customers. They only told me I'm on the first list...that's it.

Keep in mind that, presumably, all shipments from China are still happening on schedule. I'd be amazed if they weren't. Once the patch is out and working shipments should proceed rather quickly. Of course there will be some delay, but it shouldn't be too bad. If Emo is still ironing out some bugs my guess would be that they stopped shipments from China...Emo doesn't want to have to update every unit they get..they'd rather have it done at the factory... I figure you're right, they don't want to... but you don't just tell a ship to keep circling the Pacific till you're ready. I strongly doubt they can put the brakes on anything between them and China too easily, and I imagine their initial order was more than a few thousand units. Sounds like we'll have a better idea on Monday, anyway. |

I wish they would just get a mega load of the things in so we could forget all about this preorder list stuff and where am I on the list stuff. I feel sorry for those that signed up early on and have had to think about that for 2 years. I'm on list 2 but it's really useless to try and determine your place in line here. I want all the original preorder people to get taken care of before I even think of getting one.

I signed up on the second list on Oct 30 and got an email requesting CC info today so it looks like the first list is done.

I emailed about purchasing a b stock umc-1 that has been returned and they said don't worry about it they are hoping I'll be able to buy one and have it shipped immediately from their web site very soon.
They didn't even suggest I get on the preorder list.
