THis brings a few questions for me.
Can Emo state that DV works with EMO-Q settings or a manual EQ settings or no EQ Settings in the UMC-1?
Or does DV bypass your EQ settings completely and just use its own settings?
Also can we get the pop up display or front panel display to say what EQ it is using please. Example EQ1 or EQ2 or EQ3.
I would like to see that info displayed for each input.

Once you run Emo-Q it's setting are stored in one of the three EQ slots and you can have DV either on or off in any or all of the slots.
Bear in mind that EM-Q is not some kind of dynamic equalization that constantly monitors and adjusts the audio. You run Emo-Q and then store it's settings. After that you can tweak the results to your liking.

So just to make it clearer does here is my example: I do not use the auto EMO-Q. I setup my own EQ settings in EQ3. So will DV go off of my EQ settings or just ignore them? In a Onkyo Reciever, to use Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume you have to turn on Audyssey EQ. So if you had done a manual EQ setup and bypassed Audyssey then it will not use your manual EQ setup. Hope this makes it clearer. Just would like to know how the UMC-1 does it.

Hopefully Dan or Lonnie will chime in and give you a definitive answer.

When Dolby Volume is applied, it is the last thing in the chain, so all you room settings and EQs are still active. That is good news. Thanks for the response Lonnie. I assumed it worked this way, I just wanted some confirmation.
