So...I was thinking about how Emotiva is having to change the UMC-1 remote so that it doesn't interfere with the USP-1 for some codes. And people have expressed how they wish the USP-1 had a trigger-in for when it's being used with a processor. SO.....would it hurt anything to have the IR code be the same for both units for the power on/off? That way, you hit the power botton on the UMC-1 and both turn on, and then off together. It seems like it'd make a lot of sense since it does have the HT bypass and all. I know, I know, "go buy a universal remote" is what I'll hear. But for those of us who don't want to, it seems like this would be an easy fix and something that might encourage people to buy the UMC-1 & USP-1 together.

The only problem I see is if you want to just listen to the USP-1. If the codes were the same then you would have the UMC-1 on when you would not need or want it on for 2 CH music listening. Just a thought . Bill

Good point...but would it hurt anything to have the UMC-1 on while you were using the USP-1? Maybe a universal remote is the only logical answer...
