I know wrong place but didn't get any responses in accessories....... So:
I have a Harmony One and its great but I might like the RF capabilities of the 900. Does anyone have any experience with this model?
For instance is it possible to go into another room or up or down a flight of stairs and have it still operational thru walls or floors?

That is the whole idea behind RF. No more line of sight.

Has anyone tried this?

Has anyone tried this? This will depend of the distances involved and how strong the RF is on the remote. The 900 should have distance specs. If they fall within your range, you should be good to go.

Well yes, it will depend on how strong the RF signal is, I know that. It says 100' feet on their website but the are numerous reviews on that website that claim that the range is poor - less than 25'. Do you own a Harmony 900? Is this your experience?

I didn't see your post here. This is what I posted at the other forum. Hope this helps.
I have a harmony 900 remote and did set up the RF system which they call the IR Blaster. I don't think it works 100' away. Mine seems more like about 25'. While it does IR, it isn't X Device compatible like the older Harmony 890 (which also doesn't go 100'). It's only compatible with the IR blaster as best I can tell You can only control IR compatible items with the IR blaster. You can hook up to 5 IR blasters to each remote and one IR blaster has 2 IR extensions which is good if your components are separate. Unless they get the distance greater, it’s probably best to save $100 and get the Harmony 1.
