I was wondering if Emotiva has any plans for an integrated stereo amp/receiver ?
An USP-1, UPA-2, XDC-1 and an ERC-1 combi is just too much in size, weight and sensibility for my second setup. So, I would really like to see a single integrated amp (USP-1, UPA-2, XDC-1 in one)...
Edit: added receiver to adjust to the forum section

Now that's an interesting thought...that would be nice for my central home stereo. My build would be to make one option in low power multichannel for powering a central home stereo. For example, 3-4 banks of 2 channels each. That would allow me to power the speakers in my living room speakers, kitchen, master bedroom/bath, and hot tub room easily. Being able to run either 1 input to all banks or an input to each location would be really cool.

I was wondering if Emotiva has any plans for an integrated stereo amp ? This is the receiver section of the forum. Why don't you post in the integrated amp section? Just as you complained about in my thread giving Emotiva a well desrved thanks for their resolution of the UMC-1. (BTW, the UMC-1 just happens to be a pre-pro and my thread was in the Processors/Preamps section) miesepies said, quote: "..........getting too much here - just as the increasing amount of off-topic responses. Can't you guys post all this worship- and off topic stuff in the General section and use this section for usefull comments regarding the prepro's ? It's getting rediculous...I have to wade through dozens of posts in these topics just to hopefully find a single usefull post.........." In case you don't know integrated amps are not popular in the US as they are in Europe. Please don't waste our time talking about them in this section. Touche Michel!

Chuckienut, that is a rather childish response to a bit of critisism, don't you think? Anyway, I saw an integrated amp from XTZ. The hardware inside seems like it's made by the same manufacturer as the electronics of Emotiva equipment (at least, that's what I think, I might be mistaken). So that made me think an integrated solution might be a possibility. Add a tuner to it, and would be a real receiver I like the design of Emotiva, so I wouldn't mind... No, I didn't know. Never really thought about it, allthough it makes sense. Europeans usually like things a bit smaller, while in the US bigger used to be better (at least, that was our impression). The japanese make things even smaller Seeing that Emotiva only makes seperates (I only jumped in recently, so don't really know any of the older equipment) it probably won't happen, but who knows, in the future ?

Chuckienut, that is a rather childish response to a bit of critisism, don't you think? No, it was your post in the thread I started that was childish. I have followed the developments with the UMC-1 from the beginning. There have been many delays and tons of associated criticism. I think Dan bent over backward to solve this situation. He has corrected everything plus some that was wrong in this unit. He is offering to refund shipping in both directions for anyone who wants to return their UMC-1. He is extending the 30 day return period. I believe this is way beyond what is called for. I thought a sincere thanks to him was due. I specifically referenced in my link his posts about the UMC-1 I think your being unable to just read my post and simply move on without your extremely rude and unkind remarks shows a high level of immaturity and mean spiritedness. You ended up writing two negative posts in my thread that took you a lot of the wasted time you were complaining about. My thread was implicitly about the UMC-1 and in the correct section. If you have any class you would go back there an apologize to Dan for your embarrassingly rude behavior and delete your posts. I don't know if you have the personal character to admit when you are wrong and do that. I'm hope you will. Michel, this is the Emotiva forum! He is the president of the company who has the courtesy to face us all here and directly answer all the criticism and announce the solution. Give it a rest. The fan boy attacks are childish.

These are all great points Chuckie.
I know of no other manufacturer of this type of equipment that is willing to "face the music" like big Dan. And there are certainly other manufacturers that have their share of woes......
He's the first one to say "my bad" and then provides a solution.
