FWIW, a 9.5 second delay between power up and changing inputs works flawlessly. Is it really that slow? A 1.0 second Power On Delay works flawlessly with my Pioneer VSX-LX70 AVR in my current setup. Best regards, Ole Willy Tuv I am not using any power on delay in my setup. I power on TV, source then UMC-1. Works perfect everytime.

The time between initial power on and when it will accept an input change (after booting the operating system) is about 8.5-9 seconds. I have the processor "on" set as the first item in the macro, so it's not a huge deal to wait, especially since it takes longer for the screen to roll down and the projector to warm up.

I am not using any power on delay in my setup. I power on TV, source then UMC-1. Works perfect everytime. But when does your remote send the input selection command to the UMC-1? The power on delay is how long the remote waits after sending the power on command to a device before sending it other commands, typically an input selection command. If additional commands are sent before the device is ready they will be ignored.

I compared the new codes to the ones in my Harmony database and came up with the following new codes and some old codes that don't appear to be in the new ones.
New Codes Audio AUX1 AUX2 AUX3 CABLE CANCEL DOLBYVOL DVD SAT SOURCE DOWN SOURCE UP TUNER VCR Z2 BAND Z2 CHAN - Z2 CHAN + Z2 INPUT Z2 VOL- Z2 VOL+ Z2 POWER
Existing codes that don't appear to be in new codes: Band Presets Return
It's not obvious matching up the current codes with the new ones. It appears that Logitech changes their description from Emotiva's. It would be easy to send the entire new file to Logitech but I don't want to loose these 3 codes. Did I miss something?
Also, I am not sure what some of the new codes do. Can someone explain what the following are for? Audio CANCEL (we already have EXIT, is this Return?) SOURCE DOWN (we already have INPUT-+) SOURCE UP
Thanks

Is it possible for Emotiva to have the UMC-1 remote codes added to the Nevo remote control data base (Universal Electronics Inc).
Thanks

I don't know if it will do any good but I sent a copy of all the hex codes to Harmony and asked them to add them to the UMC-1 database. If they do it will make them all available to all Harmony users.

Maybe I'm missing something here.
The UMC-1 has 16 total inputs + the tuner. Is this correct? I renamed my inputs between the tuner and Aux 1 and they are running my HDMI components.
Now when we send Logitech the codes do we tell them to add our 'new custom' names? For example I named some PS3, XBOX 360, HD DVD. Would I tell them to add those?
And then also for the hex code text file - what do VCR, VIDEO, STEREO (changing to 2 ch stereo?), DVD, CALBE, AUX 1, AUX 2, AUX 3 correspond to? Sorry if these questions seem stupid, I'd just like to understand the .txt file and I'm wondering why all of the inputs wouldn't be listed. Thanks!

What are the chances of URC adding the UMC in their database? Yes, I know I can add the hex codes myself but really... whay do not have Emotiva as a vendor for any components?
I'm glad that others have got their URC remotes to work.

If they do it will make them all available to all Harmony users. I did that as well, not knowing you had done so. Actually, if enough people make this request it might be done faster. Hoping to have it done before I receive my UMC-1 in March or April or (upgrader) Ray

Hex codes are working great with a URC MX-810.. FWIW, a 9.5 second delay between power up and changing inputs works flawlessly. It would be the cat's meow if the UMC-1 could listen to a input selection (via rear panel IR) and use that as a queue to power-up from standby and change to that input, but I can work around it for now. Thanks for bringing these out... The UMC-1 is now wife-friendly, a BIG bonus!!! My puppy just ate my MX-350 so I am in the market for a new remote...How do you like the 810?

Can I ask what is a good Harmony remote to get? So far I am only controlling the umc-1, Panasonic Blue Ray, Panasnoic Plasma, Fios Motorolla DVR. I thought of getting a Harmony that uses AA batteries and a Next Generation Remote Control Extender and moving my equipment of to the side of the room. Or is it worth getting the Harmony One for ease of use?

I love my one. It does everything I need it to. Great WAF, too. There is a similar model with RF, too, I think if you need that. They are pricey, but if you look around you can get a good deal.

Well I ended up getting my UMC yesterday! ;D Yeah Fed EX and Emotiva
I went ahead and updated my harmony one for the UMC. I haven't sent the discrete codes yet, I'll try to do that next week.
I too have the same funky crossover settings, but I've only ran it once, and I just tweaked it from there. The distances seemed correct. It does sound very good though.

Being a user with many various remotes (Harmony, URC, RTI) and having owned them for a long time, I too am in a bind on the Harmonys.
After your 90 days the e-mail support option disappears off your support page and the only way to get codes added is darn near impossible.
If the mfg can't get them added there is little you can do other than PAY. I have four rooms and dedicated larger HT dedicated room, a familyroom, a small "kids" HT room and the master bedroom.
Getting Harmony to add the codes to each account is a major PITA!!!
Thankfully I am on the pre-order list late in the game and I have been sitting back waiting for all the bugs to be fixed before mine ships.

You can get to an e-mail support form from the Logitech website. Maybe just sent them in that way? Do the LMC codes work?

I am way beyone the 90 day period on my Harmony 890's. I went to the support section of their web site and sent an email asking them to add the discreet codes. I attached the two lists that Emotiva provided. They responded within 24 hours (on a Sunday, no less). So now I have the discreet codes, just not the UMC-1

What 90-day period? My Harmony One is more than two years old and Logitech added the codes without any questions. All I did was send them the hex-codes via their webform inside the Harmony software. It took them all of 4 hours, on a Friday night, to get the codes added. Excellent support, I think.

How do you know the codes have been added? I sent everything on Friday and have yet to hear anything.
