Does anyone have this combo now? If so, how's it sounding? How does it compare to your previous pre-amp processor?

I have this combo and I'm very happy with them. For the cost of a nice reciever, I get separates and with the latest rev of the software, I think it sounds great.

Me too...another 6-7 weeks estimated for me till I get to part with $$$ for the UMC...assuming the prognosis for fewer bugs and a decent remote prevail.
See my sig below... why do so many Emotiva users have Klipsch gear too?

I have the UMC-1 and UPA-7 combo. Very good combination given the feature set, build quality and price point. UPA-7 is a solid performer. I could not get Emo-Q working properly on my UMC-1. So I had to resort to manual settings. Still it sounds great. I had B&K/Rotel, Outlaw/Rotel and Outlaw/UPA-7 combos. They all have their unique sound signatures.
