Why would we be even comparing an AVR to a dedicated processor? Sorry, I know what you're saying. Here's the total scoop: The Integra DTR-40.1 A/V receiver is equivalent to the Onkyo TX-NR807. The Integra DHC-40.1 pre/pro does not have an Onkyo Pro equivalent. * If you are looking at an Onkyo Pro pre/pro, there is the top model which is the PR-SC5507 Pro, but much superior to the DHC-40.1 from Integra. There is also, coming very soon, the Onkyo PR-SC887 Pro, also superior to the DHC-40.1. You'll have to compare those two last ones with the Integra DHC-80.1 Surround Processor. Hope this helps. Didn't the 887 become the 5507?

Didn't the 887 become the 5507? I believe you are correct . When the pictures for the 5507 first became available it was labeled 887 on the rear panel. Below is a link from avland showing the 5507. If you click on the rear panel picture it will enlarge and you can see it is labeled 887. My guess is that Onkyo was going to designate it the 887 but then changed it to the 5507. www.avland.co.uk/aasp/onkyo/0920/prsc5507/prsc5507.aspBill

Of course it will be interesting to see what Onkyo's new 2010 models will be, since they announced all the 2010 models will have HDMI 1.4. Will that also include the 5507? It will probably be on the day my 5507 arrives!
