I received my UMC-1 yesterday (2-26) and was confused when I saw the label that stated the box contained a trigger wire. I did a search and found this thread. The box does however contain a basic stereo RCA cable instead, which is not listed on the label outside the box.
Unless I missed it the list of items included with the UMC-1 does not mention a trigger wire so I wouldn't be expecting one until I saw one of the small boxes had the label on it.
Can I use an existing stereo minijack cable I've got or do I need mono?

If it doesn't work, just move the jack out from the trigger outlet slightly (although you shouldn't need to).
