Your surrounds are 100 feet away from your mains? Methinks you must have a huge listening space and will probably need multiple surround speakers. That being said, I really have no direct experience with using wireless interconnects, except that the last time I looked at them the frequency response was quite limited.

Has anyone done this? The way I see it, I have a couple of choices in my setup. 1) I could run wires on about a 100' run from the farthest ERD-1, through conduit outside the house then back in and directly into the XPA-5. 2) I could wirelessly (Rocketfish?) send the signal from the UMC-1 to the speaker inputs of my HSU Subwoofer and send the signal from the speaker outputs to the ERD-1's 3) I could send the signal wirelessly from the UMC-1 to the ERD-1's using the Rocketfish reciever to power the ERD's. 4) I could wirelessly send the signal from the UMC-1 to the Rocketfish (or other better device) ouputting to a UPA-2 and then to the ERD's Any thoughts from anyone here? Ah, No! Option one would be to run the speaker cable inside the room and hide it with acoustic treatment. That way you kill two bird's with one stone without loosing signal strength and frequency response from cables that are too long. The four choices you have submitted couldn't make my top one hundred list. I'd go with a 2.1 system before going wireless or having to resort to a 100' speaker cable. My option one will increase sound quality, reduce your cable lengths and look professional all in one shot.
