If several of us are going to get together in Franklin maybe we need to coordinate a meeting point. Since we are all going to end up at Emotive headquarters on Sunday maybe that would be a good place to meet. Then again, maybe you (collectively) have another idea. If we are going to meet at the Bunganut Pig we all need the address for that. I'm game either way. Thomas Thomas has a good point, and Mark's idea of the Bunganut Pig is as good as any unless Hemster gets any better ideas from the local experts at Emotiva. I don't know what time everyone will be arriving in Nashville/Franklin but I'd imagine those driving and those getting in on later flights will want to check in to their respective hotels before throwing down some beer & wings. So maybe somewhere between 7:30 and 8:00pm would be a good starting point and those running behind just show up when they can. Please voice your suggestions as I'm just throwing this out there to get things started. Bosco's is excellent I hear. It's a restaurant for beer lovers: www.boscosbeer.com/Boscos Franklin 2000 Meridian Blvd. Suite 110 Franklin, TN 37067 Ph: 615-778-1770 I vote for Bosco's!

Guess that when we decide on a place someone should invite Lonnie and Vince. See the quote below: [glow=red,2,300]And, yes, it is a one day event this year. We will be supplying folks with a list of things to do and see in Nashville/Franklin, for those wanting to make a weekend of the event. VinceDog and myself will be hosting the 'Officially Unofficial Meet and Greet' at a local watering hole (probably the Bunganut Pig) on Saturday night. « Last Edit: Feb 18, 2010, 4:18pm by Lonnie » [/glow]

Dan and I have found a great new local place for the Unoffical Pre-Fest GTG 31 Grille on Columbia in Franklin, just about a half mile from Emo HQ will have happy hour pricing all night for Emo fest guests. They Make great burgers, pork tenderloin, and even have a fresh salad bar (always thinking of you hemster). Here is the link: www.urbanspoon.com/r/47/1536518/restaurant/Nashville/31-South-Grille-FranklinOh and great beer too! I think Sat night is Karaoke night!!!! Call us if you need more info. Have a good weekend. Going up to the theater to watch "The Hangover". Cathy

"The Hangover" is a cool flick Cathy, I think you'll have few good laughs! * This is one of those times I truly wish I was living nearer to where you guys are... Enjoy your weekend all. ____________ Oh, and just a cool suggestion for you guys this year: take a lot of pictures, and write down the names of people at the bottom of them; so we know who they are, for members like me that unfortunately cannot attend. It helps us to be closer to you guys, even from our keyboards and computers. Call it " Closer & Friendlier Interactivity". ...Because looking at the pictures from last year's Emofest, which I enjoyed by the way, I just couldn't tell who is who in 95% of the cases. Luv you all, Bob & Gab

I'm up for the 31 south grille!
They have that magic combo...food and beer.
I don't have a firm timeframe yet for arrival into Franklin, but I am thinking I could be at the grille by ~ 7-ish.
How does that work as an official start-time for folks...7-ish?
Mark (PS - animo...sorry to hear you won't be there. I still want to see how much you look like your avatar!)

Sounds like a lot of people will be attending this year. Wow I am jealous that I can't make it but I am excited for those that can. And like many others have already said, take lots and lots of pictures and put the name and screen name of the person somewhere in the caption!!! ;D Although there will be many photographers, maybe someone should be designated as the official Emofest 2010 photographer to take all those important photos!!!!! ;D

That plus still waiting for house refinancing, is the main culprit keeping me away. Would really like to get this renovation underway and get a cash paying tenant.

I'm assuming that the 31 Grille is thus far the designated place for a watering hole? There have been 2 or three places suggested so far but the 31 Grille on Columbia was suggested by Cathy. Has a place been selected?? If not I think we need to nail down a definite place. Everybody who is interested in meeting Saturday night for food and drinks please sound off. Lonnie and Vince, you are both requested to also make an appearance so hearing from the two of you would also be appreciated. I am going to be staying at the Courtyard by Marriott and wonder if others that are going to be lodging there would like to coordinate the sharing of a ride the the "drinking hole" (where ever it ends up being). I was thinking splitting taxi costs to and from the selected location. I do not like to drink and drive. If anyone is interested, please PM me. Thank you for putting up with my long-winded post. Thomas P.S. I sure would be nice if the Mobile Lounge could provide the transport!! ;D ;D ;D Would be even nicer if it also had sleeping accommodations.
