The XMC-1 is a surprise, did they give up on their original design? Only one HDMI out now.
Any release dates yet?

Opening ceremony - Introducing the Emotiva staff. Everyone got to say hello to the crowd - and everyone got a round of applause. BTW - beautiful day to have a get-together - low 8o's (f) gentle breeze - and LOT's of great food and drink provided!!!! Really 1st class!!

A nice play area for da kids. There was some nice wine being served - but I didn't stay around long enough to see if any of the adults started diving into the play area or not. ;D

XMC-1 will be a 3rd generation processor per Big Dan with a true pass through. There are better pictures available for later but I thought I'd at least wet your appetite before then. Yes this is still projected at $999. So uh, does that mean that purchasers of the UMC-1 get the XMC at 40% off? I ask because I have been saving my 1st gen upgrade for the XMC. If the XMC is 3rd gen, I might as well go for a UMC-1 if I am understanding you. Mark. |

Stereo gear listening area - speakers are bi-amped. I took a couple of photo's of the home theater area but they are to dark to show much of anything except for some lights on the gear and a BIG screen playing a Blu-ray DVD.

Looks like the XMC-1 now has two sub outs. Hopefully they are individually EQed.

I'm sure that some of the folks that were there and know about the product lines and various upgrades and updates will be along with all sorts of good info. As of right now - local time - the Emofest has at least another half-hour to run - prizes are to be given out at 16:30 - so it will be awhile before those "in the know" chime in. I left early and just thought that I would put up some photo's to tide everyone over for a bit.

There are also X series subs 12 and 15 inch rated at 500 & 1000 watts respectively! Laurence you are the man! ;D Thanks for sharing some pics.  Can you get any of the X series subs? |

just back to my hotel
First thing : thank you for your warm welcome. Emotiva lounge forum members are really great and I really appreciate you guys. I also appreciate this Karaoke party during the pre-show meeting.
It was a very nice day for me and Emofest was very great event.
About XMC-1, Dan and Lonnie mentionned that this is a 4th generation pre pro and UMC-1 is only 3rd gen so you can get the 40% off on a brand new XMC-1 if you already got a UMC-1.
I hope that's clear for every body :-p
