I am trying to find a way to input the new discrete input hex codes into my PC so I can use a USB-uirt to transmit the IR signal into my URC R50 learning remote. When I copy and paste the IR hex into an action in eventghost and then test it the UMC1 does not respond to the command. Please note that I have never used eventghost before so does anyone know what I have done wrong? Has anyone successfully integrated the USB-UIRT with the UMC1? The hex codes posted by emotiva indicate that they are pronto hex codes. Can I just copy and paste them into eventghost or do they need to be in a different format? Is there another piece of software I should try? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dan

As a quick follow up. I downloaded the 30 day trial of girder 5 and setup the hex codes for the new discrete input codes and dolbyvolume. None of the codes worked. I then tried the emotiva supplied power on hex and it did not work either. I decided to use my usb-uirt to learn the power on command instead of directly inputing the hex. When the USB-UIRT to transmitted this learned hex code the UMC1 powered on. I then took the learned code and pasted it next to the one supplied by Emotiva in notepad and they were close but different.
Does anyone know why this would happen or have any suggestions?

Sorry I can't answer your questions, but I noticed that all of my hex codes worked great...once. After that only the codes that I learned worked. I confirmed this with commands via naked IR, rear port IR, IR blaster and IR emmitter. It seems like the IR signal length requirement may be unusual on the UMC, not sure though.

I found that link as well in my research. Its strange that eventghost and girder both react the same way - the hex codes don't work. The light around the power button doesn't even blink like it does with the factory remote. Again with the learned power on command (different hex values) the usb-uirt makes the power light blink indicating that it is sees a command and then it powers on. Is any one interested in me posting the emotiva hex code along with the learned one? I was afraid to do this as I don't want to confuse anyone that may stumble into this post in the future.

Yeah that is kinda weird, did you ask about it over at the EventGhost forum? I don't have a UMC yet, but may want to control one with my USB-UIRT in the future. For a regular remote I have a URC-MX900 and was able to use the published MMC-1 hex codes with it, so I hope the published UMC codes will work as well when the time comes ;D
