1. Trim levels on the remote 2. Change levels in the Parameter menu 3. Change levels in the Speaker Set-up > Speaker Level Menu 4. Change levels in the Speaker Set-Up > Speaker calibration Menu
1 and 2 pretty much interact with each other..i.e. change the levels via the remote it shows the same change in the parameter menu. But the change will not show in 3 or 4. Changing 4 will not change 3..vice versa..
So what exactly is saved on power down?? why don't 3 and 4 interact...Why is this so damn confusing...??

One and two are "on the fly" for your current listening session say you didn't agree on how something was mixed. Two and three are long term setting that are saved after power down.

ah..ok...3 and 4 DO interact with each other. 1 and 2 are NOT saved.

Since the other thread was closed for some reason, I'd like to report here that I just had a chance to do some testing, and I also have the "levels reset to 0 on startup" issue for L, R, SR, SL speakers. C and SW appear to work, and I don't have any surround back speakers attached.
