Do any of the moderators know what the UMC price will be after the preorder list is cleared? I spoke with Jana who told me that the price will be higher but she did not know to what extent.

you would think they would as i am sure a few to many are awaiting the pre-orders to finish up. why would they not post this online. are they not an ID business with a customer first business model? they should have an idea, if not a finalized price already. if that is the case, post the new price so those who failed to get on the pre-order list can read the many "i am glad i was on the list" replies  ... |

from what i have seen, they have had for new products an introductory price with the new price posted when the intro was over. maybe i am wrong but they do not owe anybody the info as to what the product will cost after the introduction until that intro is over.
it will still cost far less than the nearest competition for the quality and build of product.

Posting a specific higher price now would probably promote purchase and immediate resale by some on the list. That would be not be efficient for Emotiva.

I think we should start speculating/guessing on what the appropriate cost is for the UMC-1 after the initial pre-orders are filled.
Here is my guess: $849.00

No not that high, my guess is $799.99 w/ frequent sales that bring down to $749.99 .
