I was surprised and disappointed that there was no mention of the new 2 channel preamp during the latest webcast. I hope this is still on track to be released sometime soon. Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe it'll be the surprise entry to be shown at Axpona in Jacsonville next weekend (5-7th March)! I'm going and will post my findings.

Thanks hemster. I've been looking forward to some solid details on the XSP-1 for a while. However, I wont mind If the surprise entry is not the XSP-1 it they announce what is my ultimate Emotive wish list product.... A kick ass $800 music server based on the ERC-1!!! I figure they already have the ERC-1 so they are half way home on something like that. Develop the Software, add some hard drives, price it at $799 and this will DESTROY the market of all these other overpriced dedicated music servers out there. I don't know that they could build enough of them if they could manage to pull that off. I know I would pull the trigger immediately.

I wish that would be true, but before leaving Emotiva, Dann G said he would guess XSP-1 would be out only in the summer. Have a nice day! Rodrigo

If I were to guess what new product Emo might show at Axpona, I would guess they would have one or more of the planned subwoofers, which would need a shorter design and testing phase than a sophisticated preamp or processor. I am going to Axpona too, so we shall see.

I am going to Axpona too, so we shall see. It sounded as though a few things were ready for near launch: Ultra Subs Ultra Speaker Redesigned ERT-8.3 Dann G. said back in December or November that Emo was set to launch a lot of cool stuff in the first Quarter of 2010... I'm guessing that isn't the case with the amount of man hours the FW issues with the UMC took up, but doesn't mean they won't be able to unveil some stuff a little more formally than message board teasers in Jacksonville.

I've been waiting for over a year for the new Reference stereo amps with the pretty Blue analog meters. Those haven't been mentioned in months.

I emailed Emotiva today about the USP-1, and it's lack of full range output on HT Bypass. They told me the XSP-1 would have all active outputs, and that's the product that would suit my needs... So, to me that's good news that it's still coming out! I'm looking forward to it, and hope to pick one up at EmoFest this year.

Yep.. I am with you... I wanted the USP-1 too, but the lack of full range HT bypass was a no go for me... I will order XSP-1 as soon as it comes out, but for now it is a waiting game...
The question is can I wait long enough without looking at another product..

What you guys mean by Full range output on HT by pass? I'm using the UPS-1 HT Bypass, and I assume it was always full range!
Thanks

The R and L Full Range outputs aren't active when the USP-1 is in HT Bypass mode according to the manual... are you experiencing something different?

I just connected the UPS-1 to my 886 just the other night but never check to see if I can switch back to the UPS-1 Before the above post, and now I get what you guys are saying... I have to reconfigure my cables, and just use another method ( high pass filters). I found a thread with a diagram, I'll just mimic it.. It will be a little different to what I'm use to in the past, but I'll manage. Djoel
