I'm not going to sit here and type out some huge review on every detail/aspect of this AMP...its been done enough by now that if people are that interested they can get the gyst of this amps character.... Only thing I will say is...I've been a Rotel lover for about the last 6 years....I do indeed still love and continue to be impressed with the sound of Rotel....BUT I wont be buying anymore Rotel Amplifiers. I am simply sold on Emo's Quality and Dynamics that their Amps put out. Congrats Emotiva. For anyone thinking about buying an Emo Amp keep something in mind. I personally have been on this forum for a very short amount of time and after a short while of lurking and reading many reviews and opinions...I took the gamble....and God knows I do love to gamble.....nothing risked is nothing gained.....well I'm simply glad I took the risk based entirely on what Emotiva customers have written...I'm not one to care what all the audio reviewers have to say...I've learned that listening to the customers and listening for myself are where its at....... now I just have to sit and wait for my Electronics Fund to grow large enough to re-do my entire front end in the bedroom theater with 3 XPA-1's

Even though I shouldn't have been surprised...I kinda was today. I am about to buy a new pair of Magnepan 1.7 speakers for my living room system. I have a pair of 1.6's in there now driven by a very expensive Threshold S500e amp that is rated pretty much the same as the XPA-2.... 250/500 watts per channel at 8 and 4 ohms respectively.
Well....I just moved those 1.6's into my bedroom system where an XPA-2 provides the ummpf. They sound better in the bedroom system with the XPA-2.

Size and placement. If you have a large enough bedroom and space to place them properly then you'll be ok.

I had the MMG's in there and now the 1.6's and they sound so good. I get to wake up every morning to the sound of real music.

I have two xpa-2's running my mains and love them. I do not have any electronics in my bedroom save a digital clock. I only go there to sleep. ;D
