DMR with Oppo Blu

Hey guys. I'm planning on getting the Oppo someday soon, and was just wondering about using it with my DMR via analog. I know it will work just fine for the lossless sound and all, but I'm wondering about the lack of bass management in the DMR with the "8 channel" setting. It seems that the Oppo does have analog bass management to some extent. But will the DMR receive that bass management? Or will it run everything full range, despite having the analog BM in the Oppo? Say if I set the speaker size in the Oppo to small, will the DMR output to my speakers that way? Even though the DMR does not have analog bass management?

I would think that the DMR-1 would simply "pass-through" the signal as it is received. So if the oppo ( Bdp-83 I presume? ) can do BM then that should be reflected in your soundstage.
