got it yesterday....played it for about 2 hours...nothing bad to say about it at this price point...
positives: low end much tighter than the Marantz 7600, speakers disappeared completely, and talking about airy and openess, my wife says "i'm not sure i like it. it sounds too open."...go figure!...LOL.
if i remember correctly, it sounds as open and as extended (highs and lows) without being fatiguing like my Gryphon Mikado cd player (a $12,000 unit!!!!).
anyway, i love it and i can't wait to listen to it again, and again...way to go Emotiva!!!!
p.s. this was a B-stock unit that arrived in as-new condition with plastic over the dispaly. the only thing that denoted a B-stock was that the batteries were already inside the remote.

...but even at $5500 was a lot fo money...at least i recuperate the investment when i sold it...i'm very happy with the ERC-1 player!!!
