believe for every drop of rain that falls A flower grows,
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night A candle glows,
I believe for everyone who goes astray, Someone will come to show the way,
I believe, I believe.
I believe above the storm a smallest prayer Will still be heard,
I believe that someone in the great somewhere Hears every word,
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry, Or touch a leaf, or see the sky, Then I know why, I believe.
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry, Or touch a leaf, or see the sky, Then I know why, I believe.

believe for every drop of rain that falls A flower grows, ... I believe that somewhere in the darkest night A candle glows, Now you're making me feel it's like the 70s again. I am liking all the Emo gear (even the UMC) on my sig except the UAC 8.2 and UOM 6.2. I just connected the UAC 8.2 last night to the USP-1, UPA-5, and a cheap Samsung DVD player. Before that I had the UOM on the same line. So far, these speakers are nothing to write home about. Good thing I got them on sale. So far, I'm a strong believer. Realistically, I don't expect ANY company to have a 100% batting average (okay, maybe Apple but I don't own any). Emo is at 75%-83%, depending on how I calculate the average. Btw, I stopped by a local Bryston and B&W dealer last night. I listened to a favorite track on Women and Songs - Good mother by Jann Arden. First set up was Rotel CD, preamp, amp into a B&W CM8. I didn't hear anything new compared to my bookshelf B&W 601 S3, PS3, UMC-1, UPA-1s. However, same song on a full Bryston setup into B&W 804s was a different experience. I heard new details - percussions which sounded like maybe bongos that I've never heard before. I wonder if an all Emo setup - ERC, USP, UPAs into my existing speakers can recreate those details. I have everything except the ERC. Maybe that's what I'll get for the holiday sale with my $100 Emo bucks. I made someone happy on the XDA-1 reservation list. (You're welcome ) I cancelled my order after confirming with my son that it will not be the right product for his digital studio needs.

In the end you get what you pay for. Does specs mean everything. No. Emo is a good budget entry level amp. Will it best a Krell , McIntosh, etc. No and I would never expect it to as its a different build design, quality, type, etc. If you are using this for solely HT its a ok amp. If you are into serious 2 channel there are better choices out there IMO. Spec are not everything, SQ is and SQ on these for 2 channel is not what I seek. Remember, we are direct to consumer and we reflect that savings to you the customer. We do not have a middleman to mark up our products before we deliver to you the buyers ;D Our model is very simple, bring the best quality gear to you at direct prices, period!

People forget how much of a markup the middlemen add to the price of what they purchase. The middlemen have to pay rent, employee salaries, employee benefits, electricity and so on and so forth. This can substantially add to the cost in the end. Emotiva's approach makes much more sense for myself and many other folks who refuse to or just can't afford to pay the markups but want excellent gear. What is it that you're not getting from Emotiva that you're getting from other high end companies? I don't understand the "you get what you pay for" attitude regarding Emotiva products. Emotiva uses 1% resistors, high temp 105 degree capacitors, high grade circuit boards etc etc. Plus the customer service is excellent as well. Don't forget the 5 year warranty. Personally I see nothing that says the products are less quality than any other product out there. I understand that amps can sound different but that doesn't mean you're not getting what you pay for because a particular brand of amplifier doesn't sound the way you like. It just means that we all have different tastes in sound. That said, keep up the great work Emotiva and please don't ever include a middleman/middlemen.

Good lord cgolf, I didn't realize you've owned that much Emo gear! Wow. Hey Pauly, Yes I am as bad as some others on here. Constantly changing out equipment. I can't even remember how many different pieces of EMO gear I've had but I think I'm in a holding pattern right now, finally!! ;D I am quite happy with the SQ of the media room at this time with movies and 2 channel music. Any bump in SQ would probably cost some dollars and I've put enough into this already -- at least for now.... ;D I still want the XPA-1s but that ain't gonna happen anytime soon unless someone loves me enough to get them for me for Christmas...... ;D
