Get well terminated and shielded cables and be done with it. Laws of physics are quite simple, electrical current in copper is a rather straightforward affair. IF well terminated and shielded cables sound different, thy will have measurable difference, which is not magic or proprietary to cable maker whatever their claims. Capacitance/inductance etc can be implemented without a silly price tag. Most people would be shocked to find out what wires connect their posts to drivers inside of speakers.
by the way, Shayned, being 'a bit on a scientific side', how do you reckon last meter or two of different power cord (after many miles of regular aluminium and copper) will affect current? Do not take it as a sarcasm please, i am first to admit there's things i do not know.
