Let me know how it goes the third attemp worked for me this way successfully all 4 goes no errors
Maybe if you want and it fails go to control panel and uninstall the silicon USB driver
And when u run the program again it will install it
Just a thought

I niticed the silicon driver is the older 3.1
I used to have the 3.3 installed when I did the umc-1 updates

Bootman, I have the same issue that the reviewer from home theater.com had with my oppo 103. I guess you do get what you pay for. Are you sure? just 5 days ago you posted about just thinking of getting the umc-200. Thanks guys, you guys are swaying me towards getting a UMC-200 for now and wait for the RMC-1 so that way it matches my amps and I'll get 25% off the RMC if I get the UMC-200. Yes, the Marantz is expensive and it has a lot of features that I don't need or care for. But ok, lol

Are you powering off the UMC between all 4 modules? When I start up software with UMC off I get a dialog box with garbage characters.

And a firmware release on a Friday night with no one in tech support. Probably not their best idea. I would have to agree with you on that. Bill But as my mother (bless her heart) would say: Nadie te manda! No one made you do it. Everyone if you are not the least bit computer savy, wait until Monday when tech support is on the phone. ...Unless Keith is going to do a 48hr vigil here. lol

I take it the 200 isn't any easier than the umc-1 I had. I honestly never had an issue loading firmware into the umc-1. I didn't have any special hardware either. (An atom netbook with xp and an old school usb 1.1 cable with ferrite cores on both ends) But I was under the impression that the UMC-200 would have a different (and easier) upgrade procedure.

I have tried these variations... Ran 4th file only, ran 2 seconds then reported fail. I think I have a brick here... no one answering the phones at EMO.
Can't get out of loading mode.... aaarrrggghhhhh
