gld3gld3 - for what it's worth, I use Apple and Android units to control Roon (iPad/iPhone/Galaxy Tab). The Apples perform better than the Android, but I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue. But the 'Droid does 98% of what I need, and for $125, that's perfect. I'm listening right now - random tracks from my 33,000 song collection. It's pretty cool. Plus, the Focus feature is great. I don't use it for Tidal (don't subscribe - still actually buy and rip CDs) I am not surprised that your Apple products perform better. The thing is, my phone is basically stock android (Oxygen OS) and has top specs, so it should (and usually does) perform great. It's just the Roon app that I've had issues with as far as performance goes. I know, specs aren't everything. Maybe a new Android update or Roon update would solve this problem. The other issues (no widget or notifications, connectivity issues), I think, could definitely be solved with updated software. Anyhow. It works well enough that I will probably continue using it. The desktop app for windows is great; no issues there. Tidal has been a good investment for me, so far. I still buy used CDs of the stuff that isn't on Tidal and rip them to FLAC. Roon merges these files with those available through Tidal, so it's all seemless. I would still be quite happy if my only option was ripping CDs, but I have discovered so much more music since subscribing to Tidal, and now Roon... Happy listening!

I use all Android devices to control Roon but I only use STOCK Android products which I think operate at a higher level than non-stock which include lots of bloatware. I have a Nexus 7 tablet and a Nexus 6p phone that both work 100% with Roon.

So, it looks like Roon controler for Android now has a Widget! That was one of the features I had asked for. Too bad it's not working on my phone yet. I am sure there are lots of bugs to fix with the new release! Anyone else have a functioning widget?
