Applies to: XMC-1; All Units; All Previous Firmware Versions. Purpose: Added support for new HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2 board. Fixed Some Minor Bugs. Level of Importance: Mandatory - for units with the new HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2 board. Optional - for units with the original “HDMI 1.4b” HDMI board. emotiva.com/resources/updates/XMC-1_v40_update.zipAnyone update yet? Anyone know what they actually fixed? -tm Within the next hour I'm going to update........I had brought to the attention of tech. support last update 3.1, that the onscreen transparency setting would not remain "persistent". A little bug, that could easily go unnoticed by many for sure, though I did hear from a few folks who did notice it. Anyway, I'll be curious to see if that was included in the "bug" list! Bill

Just got my upgraded board installed and returned to me; VERY fast turn-around I might add. Just uploaded 4.0 and will do a movie later tonight. Scott Watched a movie last night and all is good in the hood with 4.0. Only tested a few of the major sound codecs as well as MA and sound is great with no audio drop outs. Picture is good with no noise or otherwise. Screen shot of 4K rig (cell shot.... but still) emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/48286/upgrade-sony-projector-killer-pictureScott

Updated to 4.0 over the weekend. everything working fine as before. Haven't noticed anything different. It would have been nice if the list of bug fixes was specified.

"Updated to 4.0 over the weekend. everything working fine as before. Haven't noticed anything different. It would have been nice if the list of bug fixes was specified." If I recall the instructions they said "fixes some minor bugs" so nothing to write home about. my 🐜 which was VERY minor, was not listed however was fixed. Bill

[ First time around I had the "no file" Issue with the stick I always use. I went back and downloaded fresh to the pic, Then extracted there and copied ONLY the update to my usual stick (empty) that time the XMC saw the file and all worked fine Bill

Worked fine then. Noticed a couple of fix "..." messages whilst doing it.

Good 😊. Glad it worked. Having the system essentially driven by computer 💻 is at times, a double edged sword.
Still, I prefer it over returning to the analog domain.
