As suggested in the Official V3 HDMI Board Thread by xyvyx, a poll. An actual poll is much easier for us (and Emotiva) to visualize the DEFCON level of the V3 Upgrade.

And you can update your selection as the process progresses. If they release an update that cures your major problems but still leaves minor inconveniences, you can update your selection.

I consider myself a 2, but have to honestly say I’m a 3 and voted there. Lack of progress is concerning.

3) Apple TV 4K is not working in DV/60 mode. I have had a couple of dozen incidents with lost audio.

Option 4. I didn't need the board but I had it installed since it was in TN anyway, so I figured why not kill two birds with one stone. Now two devices that worked perfectly with the UMC-200 won't work with the XMC-1, and the XMC-1 requires a hard reboot if either of those devices tries to talk with it.
The board has brought no benefit but it does cause problems, so for me it's a dud and getting it was a mistake.

I'm a solid "Option 3".
Since I have a 2016 series OLED (which doesn't support DV@60Hz), I have no problems passing Dolby Vision from any source, but HDR output from my ATV4K (my most heavily used source) suffers from severe banding. "ARC" doesn't work and "Lip Sync" is fully manual.
I'll add that my XMC-1 has, again, been removed from my system and replaced by the AV7703 that I've used for nearly a year (as a temporary 4K solution while waiting for this board) and don't see any of the problems I've noted above.

#3.5 for me. Sometimes I find myself pulling my hair but then play some music and all is back to normal. Because there is no #3.5, my vote is for #3.

#2 for me, no serious problems, but i have neither 4k, nor HDR or something. only problems are when changing from one pc to another, but my projector has a resolution of 1920x1200, i guess thats the problem here. Nothing too serious i guess.

I was a solid #2 until I found out the "No-Audio" problem I was having with 1080p Oppo blu-ray players, BDP-83/BDP-93, was indeed an Oppo problem with HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 protocols, and they already had firmware fixes for these players. While I know there is a problem with Dolby Vision and 2017/2018 LG OLED's, I have an HDR10 capable Samsung that works great with the V3 board. So now I'm definitely a solid #1 where I have three 4K sources and two 1080p sources, where all of the sourcess/inputs switch back and forth perfectly in any combination and I'm on the most recent XMC-1 firmware.

#2 I’m good here. If my unit locks up I can shut it down and a complete reboot will correct it. Now that I have switched to lowest power mode I only have the odd issue. Sony 4K tv , Sony x800UHD player , Scientific Atlantic 4k cable box . Now if it happens to a family member.......Well that’s a different story.🙄

Option 2 here. Everything works great. Some cosmetic usability issues, but nothing serious.
What bugs me is the e-mail I received from Emotiva on August 8: "I have been working with my code guys to resolve the issues you brought up and they have been taken care of. We have a few more things we are working on and will be releasing an update to the public very soon."
As we all know, Emotiva has gone dark regarding responding to defect reports (these aren't bugs, they're defects)

Very rare lock up. Everyday issue with no sound and pic until I toggle from Directv to another source and back. Using Video pass thru mode. May experiment with low power mode, but family won’t be happy. Samsung TV. No Dolby Vision.

This stupidity has been going on for almost three months and still not a peep from Emotiva. What an embarrassment.

What an embarrassment. I realize it's been longer than 30 days in total, however I was directly responding to someone who got an update 30 days ago. I don't think 30 days from anyone's last update is "going dark". As for how long it's taken so far - they promptly responded with the updates they could, told us certain ones would take longer, and updated at least some people within the last 30 days. Seems quite reasonable to me. Would it be better had there been no issues? Sure. But, as lcseminole notes, some of his issues have been fixed by updates from Oppo. That indicates that some part of the problem is outside Emotiva's control...they are trying to put band-aids on for someone else's issues in many cases. Lonnie had mentioned that more than once. Mark

Mark If I'm not mistaken, I believe I read that another forum members correspondence with Emotiva, that Panasonic is now involved in some capacity, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that a fix is taking a bit longer. I don't think HDCP2.2/HDMI2.0/4K protocols are trivial compared with previous situations. Even Oppo has and still have several lingering problems that have been in their pipeline since the release of their UDP-203/205 UHD players and this has been 21 months and counting with two of them.

If this can't be fixed, we need to know now, not months from now.
