Not a complaint, just an observation, not everyone wishing to upgrade is located in the US. For example, the email would have arrived in my inbox at 3 am and, I know it’s surprising, but I was actually asleep at that time and wouldn’t have read the email within the 30 minutes. But if that happens with all batches then it might lead to complaints from your non US based customers.
Cheers Gary

Thanks for the update. The thing is that it was pure chance I saw Emotiva's e-mail and reacted as quickly as I did - and that wasn't nearly quick enough. Those circumstances are not likely to be repeated anytime soon. So it sounds like I won't be getting an upgrade for a LONG time.

Perhaps they should only send out as many e-mails as they have inventory to meet.

For me it's just not a good time to be spending $1500 CAD right before the Christmas season, and after the holidays camping sites open up to reserve for the 2020 summer season so I'm not sure if I will even be able to take advantage of the upgrade, mid summer would have been best, but that's just my situation when it comes to disposable income. Great deal to be had though.

Hey everyone,
We are working on getting all of the labels created for the trade ins. They all have to be processed manually and we have started the process today.

Really don't know how they work their upgrade program but the only thing I can say is after the second time I received an email to inform me that is the time to upgrade and I had answered they're sold out, it is very frustrating and shocking. Absolutely no sense, how can you tell and how many times can you tell to your customers "it's time to upgrade, hurry, Quantity limited, first one first serve" and in the same day "sorry we're sold out". I must admit my disappointment about this. I don't care about waiting longer for my turn, but when you contact me to upgrade, just do it.

High Quality Balanced to Unbalanced Output Adapters are now available !!!I don't know if anybody has mentioned this already or not... But we now have adapters available for connecting the balanced outputs on your RMC-1, RMC-1L, or XMC-2 to unbalanced inputs on other gear. These are neat little adapters with an XLR connector on one end to plug into the unit... And a female RCA connector on the other where you can connect an appropriate RCA-to-RCA interconnect cable. - These are pigtail adapters, with a high quality connector on each end, and about eight inches of flexible wire between them - Both connectors have high quality metal shells with a tough black coating - They are wired correctly (the inverting balanced output is not shorted to ground like it is on adapters intended for use with microphones) - Because the pigtail is flexible, it doesn't stick straight out like a solid adapter, so you don't need a lot of extra clearance for it - We used special slim-line connectors that have plenty of clearance for the closely-spaces connectors on the back of the RMC-1, RMC-1L, and XMC-2 - They're only $8 each You can find them in the accessory section of our website... here:

Hello from Germany, I also get my invoice yesterday and now waiting for the next step. You wrote "They are wired correctly (the inverting balanced output is not shorted to ground like it is on adapters intended for use with microphones)", so the inverted balanced out is left open / not connected? Regards Markus

I got my shipping label yesterday along with the instructions. UPS says Emotiva should have my unit by Friday. I am hoping for a quick turn around. Here are the instructions I received if you want to get a head start: Please use the following steps when sending your XMC-1 back:1. We will only accept EMOTIVA packaging, no exceptions. To ensure safe back-and-forth transportation, your product must be shipped in the original Emotiva box and packaging. If you have misplaced or discarded the packaging and box, please contact us to purchase a replacement, we charge a nominal fee, for this, but it ensures that your product is protected during transit. 2. IF YOU SHIP YOUR PRODUCT TO US IN NON-ORIGINAL PACKAGING, WE WILL REFUSE YOUR SHIPMENT. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR IN NON-APPROVED ORIGINAL PACKAGING. 3. Please ensure all accessories are included in your return. You will be responsible for the cost of replacing them. The individual value of the accessories is as follows: Microphone: $30 Microphone stand with clip: $10 Microphone digitizer cable: $15 Remote control: $30 Power cord: $10 Radio antenna kit: $5 4. Please be sure to remove any pre-existing labels or stickers from the shipping box. Once we receive your XMC-1, we will inspect it for acceptable physical condition, accessories and the HDMI board version. If you have an older HDMI board: Please let us know if you are missing any of the accessories as we will need to collect fees for these accessories. As soon as the inspection is completed and accessories taken care of, your new processor will be shipped. If you have the V3 HDMI board: We will note that in the inspection and you will be eligible for a $399 refund to your order. We will deduct the cost of any of the missing accessories from the refund amount. We will ship your new processor at the same time as processing the refund. If you have any questions about this or the process, please let us know BEFORE sending your XMC-1 in. TRADE INS ARE FINAL SALE. The 30-day trial does not apply. You will not get your XMC-1 back once it is received by Emotiva, and you do not get a 30-day trial on the new processor. So you better get an Emotiva XMC-1 box if you don't have one. Also, make sure you get all the accessories together before shipping it back or there will be additional fees. Has anyone received their email with the mailing label yet? Thinking about boxing up the XMC-1 this weekend!
