I have an iTac that can learn an IR code, so... If you find something you need, let me know and I will see if I can help out.

Thanks, the problem is that there isn’t a remote that can produce the missing commands, and possibly the FW can’t yet act on them. I can only guess what the new processors might be capable of — like individual control of: surround, rear, top front, middle, back, correct naming and access to all surround modes, additional speaker presets for Dirac 🤞? lots of possibilities. But we’ll just have to wait until someone gets to writing a document, or more likely an API for the additional commands.

I thought you were wanting the codes for something the RMC remote was doing. My bad.

There aren’t any new documents available yet specifically for the RMC-1, however this thread has links to all the resources I’m aware of, including the discrete codes for the XMC-1. All of them still work for the new RMC & XMC models, but I’d venture there are more codes not yet exposed. The link that I shared has a complete documentation for the XMC-1. So you say that the codes are 100% the same for the RMC-1? Are you sure?

The only codes I’m aware that they’ve changed are “Back Up” and “Back Down”, with the XMC-1 they controlled the back/rear speaker levels. Now the side and rear Surround speakers are controlled together with “Surround” (Up/Down), and the Rear command has been repurposed as “Heights” and controls all ceiling speakers. I only have 7.2.2 so I can’t totally test the Height command, but I believe others have confirmed it. I’ve also heard someone report that one of the digital ins was reversed (like TOSLink 1 & 2), but mine seem to work correctly (maybe it was coax?). In any case the Rear / Height swap is all I’m aware of, but if anyone knows of other remote codes not working properly here’s the place to speak up.

The actual codes sent by each physical button on the remote control when you press it are identical.. and the two remotes are physically identical. And, yes, you can use either remote with either unit.
Only the labels on the buttons are different.
One difference is the level trims that you mentioned - now "Surrounds" and "Heights".
The other difference is that the two buttons that used to allow you to directly select PLIIx-Music and PLIIx-Movie modes are now reassigned. They are labelled "Music" and "Movie" on the XMC-1 remote control and are now "Direct" and "All Stereo" on the new RMC-1 remote.) (The PLIIx choices no longer exist with the DSU - Dolby Surround Upmixer.)
Also note that, with the new processors, there is a of new "direct access" codes that support the newly added modes and options. (They aren't assigned to buttons on the remote, but you can use them with a programmable remote, or with the wired "IR" inputs on the back.)

I'll arrange for them to be posted in the resources section of the product page. That’s great, once they’re posted I’ll try to get Logitech to create a new RMC-1 / RMC-1L / XMC-2 device for Harmony remotes (unless someone at Emotiva wants to handle it?).

In the mean time... HERE ARE THE LATEST XMC-1 / RMC-1 IR CODES AND NETWORK API (as of April 4, 2020).Note that there may be a few small changes over the next few weeks for the new Dirac release. (It looks like they may simply amount to a few buttons being renamed but that isn't certain yet.)
Also note that these apply to both the XMC-1 and RMC-1. (Since several buttons on the remote have different names for each of those there will be a few minor naming discrepancies at the moment. ) View Attachment View Attachment View Attachment
Thanks Keith!

Does anyone else use the Android XMC Remote app with the RMC? Mine will turn the unit on and allow control of zone 2. That is all. The wife's iOS app does the same. What am I missing? I have around 25 devices wired and wireless on my network. I have no issues using my phone with my numerous other smart devices. I can control the RMC via network api, so I know the network is functional. This app just seems to be broken.

As you’ve seen there are issues with the NIC, or more likely the servicing of the NIC, by the processor / OS. The iOS app can often work correctly and perform all the functions it makes available, but with the RMC-1 (more often than with the XMC-1), the processor seems to get busy, or something interferes with communication. Mine isn’t working now, but was fine yesterday. While the App needs some work to add the newer functions available, the NIC needs some attention too.

I opened a ticket a while back on it. I don't have a ticket number, so I'm not sure how any of this is tracked. But, with my NIC issue, it is either in a up state or down state. I can always use the network api as long as the NIC is up. Sometimes there are delays, but until this firmware code base it written optimally, everything is going to have an issue from time to time. It seems we need significant error handling. My mobile app has always behaved through same way. If the RMC is off. The app will turn it on. After that, I only have the ability to use the zone 2 page.

I'll arrange for them to be posted in the resources section of the product page. I just checked the product page. Still no IR codes available. Could you please take care of it? Thanks in advance.
