Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Too funny......I know when I tell someone a couple weeks I don't expect a call in 14 days saying,NOW? I'm pretty sure that is just a "time frame" to give an idea of appx when. That may be true in YOUR context, but in other context that kind of BS "timeline" wouldn't fly. A lot of people are held to time estimates, and may even have penalties asssociated with missing them. An update as to progress is certainly warranted in any case. Now I'm not saying that we should demand EMO give us hard and fast timelines, and certainly there are no penalities assesed(except maybe lost sales), but an update (as Dan did) should be forthcoming when it's known that a "deadline" will be met, or not. This is especially true in this forum where we know the posts will start immediately when a time estimate is passed. Well......we don't have the interstate shut down,it's just a radio.I just read a post from a guy that sent his Denon 4310 in for repair,4 week backorder just to get the part(as many were failing). He was offered no timeline,no discussion.I'm glad Emo don't treat us like that.

Comparing the service of Denon to that of Emotiva is not an accurate comparison IMO. You are looking at two totally different companies one that is a huge worldwide company selling thousands of AVR/prepos in many different ways (BM, small A/V stores and on the internet). The other being a small service driven ID only company that sells a fraction of the components when compared to Denon. Service has to be among the best (which it is) or Emotiva would not stay in business very long with so much competition out there. If Emotiva ever grew to the size of Denon I'm sure they could not continue to offer the excellent service they do now, just not possible. Bill

I wish (as every other UMC-1 owner ) that the updated FW will hopefully be available this coming week. I powered up my system this morning to watch TV and the surrounds were overpowering the LCR speakers . I had to go into the menu when no one was looking to make adjustments. I know its another "are we there yet" post but its getting a little old having to adjust my speaker levels after powering off . I really hope Emotiva takes the advice of many here on the forum and use a beta program with the XMC-1. If they did this with the UMC-1 using real world users such as the members here many of the issues with the UMC-1 would have been known to Emotiva before its release. Just a thought which of course has been mentioned before . Bill
