My thoughts exactly... if he's not using the LFE out and LFE optional input on his speakers, then no tone for LFE.

Assuming the sub output is set properly in the UMC-1, try increasing the sub amp level control on the loudspeakers. And if you can disable the auto sense and force power ON, try that as well.

And if you can disable the auto sense and force power ON, try that as well. on the Level Calibration for the sub i have the level set to 10 db still no sound and the Speaker Level is also at 10 db so i can't disable to auto sense on the sub. The LFE level is 00 db for everything. maybe this is just not to be with these type of speakers.... strange that is that my Denon can pick up the subs
