UMC-1 no sound from the surround speakers FIXED

i am trying to setup a UMC-1 and I can't get any sound from the surround speakers no matter what i try... please help..

i have tried to search the boards but have not got a hit on this matter. I can't get sound to come through with anything HDMI, 5.1 analog channels, optical. Not sure what the issue is...

5.1 or 7.1? If 5.1, which surround outputs did you connect? Surround Rear L R or Surround L / R? Did you run Emo-Q or the test tone? Do you hear the test tones thru the surrounds?

i am running 5.1 and i connected Left Surroung and Right Surround and i did run the test tone and would only do the Front Left, Front Right, Center and Sub. but i can't get any test tone through the Sub or the Surrounds
i have not run the Emo-Q.

Did you set the speakers on and set a crossover in the speaker setup menu? Are the channel outputs from the UMC-1 connected to your amplifier channel inputs and is the amp on?

did you connect to the output RCA's or the input RCA's? This has happened before!

If using the XPA-3 for the surrounds, make sure you set the inputs to unbalanced.

speakers crossover is set at 55 Hz, not sure where you are talking about with setting the speakers on?
yes the output channel Surround left and Surround right is connected to the UPA-5 and the amp is on...

when i click on info the display comes up and states "Chennel 3/2+LFE"

Video and audio is HDMI

ok now i get the surrounds in the speaker level calibration but no sound through them and no sound through the sub

test levels are at 6.0db for the surrounds

Ok, so HDMI straight from the source unit (DirecTV, Bluray, Cable Box, etc.) and the UMC displays Channel 3/2+LFE. So the UMC-1 is getting the audio stream... good.

RCA from UMC-1 directly to amps?
Center and Main Speakers have output sound?
Is the Blue ring around the UMC-1 power button blinking?
Amps on? Blue ring around amps or amber?
