Is anyone else stalking the UMC-1 status page? I don't even have my UMC-1 yet, but I'm still dieing to hear something. ;D  I'm beginning to feel like the number of times I'm constantly refreshing this forum could overload the server, or bring unwanted FBI attention to me. |

I don't have my umc yet but expect it will be ready soon after the firmware is release. For this reason I too am keep a close eye on that tread waiting for the number of posts to click over to 12.

Yea, I'm refreshing every 15-20 mins or so...I got my UMC on monday and haven't hooked it up yet due to not wanting to pull everything a part to do the firmware update (and im waiting on my blu-ray player to show up).

I figure there is no need to check the page. I always refresh the most recent 60 posts on the lounge and am sure that when the announcement is made about the update, there will be a flurry of posts about it, probably taking up at least 50% of those most recent 60!

That way you won't have to pull it every time you do a firmware update. I have a feeling this won't be the last one (no implied complaints here, Emo protectors, I loves me my UMC-1!!!  ). So save yourself some aggravation. I also recommend an extension for the calibration microphone, as you'll need to rerun Emo-Q (assuming you choose to go down that road) every time you make changes to your system or room layout. Front ports would have been nice for those two inputs, but with a little creative cabling, it's no big deal. --Brett |
