How about a UMC-1?  Any upgraders still waiting for theirs? (I know "Just give them a call", but I've done that before and for some reason, "You're on the list" is mildly unsatisfying) |

I haven't gotten any emails at all. Signed up very early, hope I'm still on. NOt in a hurry until it's stable though...

Deb, the first day meaning the second opening of the preorder or the original in early 2008?? If that is the case you really need to call and talk to someone who can do something and not just tell you that you are on the list.

The first day of the first list. I think there are a number of up-graders from the the first list in the same boat. At this point I am ok with waiting a little longer until it is working properly.

These folks are actually talking about the list inside the list. It's like the ghost in the machine. There are people using discounted upgrade certificates for having purchased prior Emotiva processors, and they have to wait in a longer line, despite signing up sooner, as Emotiva can only sell so many upgrade units per regularly priced units. |

Deb Ditto. Although I wonder if there would be less angry people if the upgraders were the first ones to receive the units. I've never really been upset about when I would get the UMC because I knew it was worth it to have 40% off. I think even if the unit was buggy I wouldnt mind since I had 40% off. At $700 people will complain but at ~$400 there will be those whose complaints will be muffled. |

Got my email little while ago, thought they would be closed since it was just after 5:00 pm, called anyway and they were still there!!!!
Gave my CC info and my UMC-1 should ship next week.

Glad to hear that Debra, too bad it was too late to call.
It looks like the wait was beneficial to us, as most of the bugs seem to have been taken care of.

I was early on the very first list and am still waiting. Congrats to you early listers who got the call! 40% off and bug-free is still worth waiting for, but I admit to having my patience tested at times during this wait. My last contact with Emotiva was the March email announcing the delay.

I will take the weekend to mull over whether to pull the trigger now or wait for a completely stable product, as I am hesitant to be a beta tester. |
