Quote from the "The definitive UMC-1 status page from Big Dan" Beta 2 software is up! Its on the UMC update page and we went a head and left the Beta 1 there as well in case anyone wants to revert back. I will come back in a little while and update this post with what changes have been made in this code set. Enjoy. ------------------------------------------------------------------ They should appear on that thread , from reading the above.

Which would you prefer? that they work on the update or on the code. They have limited resources. Personally, I would prefer they work on the code rather than on the update.

Plus the Nashville Area is in a state of emergency right now with the flooding. I personally hope everybody down there and their families are ok!

There was a tweet from Emotiva about six hours ago: "Thankful that everyone here at Emotiva is safe and dry today. Our hearts go out to those not as fortunate this past weekend here in TN." R

alhull,
I'm not sure what details you are waiting on, but in Lonnie's original post (in the "Definitive UMC-1 Status Page..." thread, he wrote:
I don't know what other details people need - seems like a pretty clear, concise statement on what areas they tried to address.
And from all reports, what Lonnie promised generally seems to be true (with some lingering issues but marked reduction in issues). Lonnie also said that certain details would not be released due to being trade secrets.
Sure, he said later he would come back w/more info on what changes were made - but it seems like we have the 80/20. (And, as others have noted...there are other pressing issues like flooding in the area and getting to a final code.)
Also, for those in various threads who keep asking if Emo-Q issues were addressed in beta v2...see Lonnie's post. He didn't mention it, so...don't expect it yet. As he said, beta 2 is not the final FW - so don't fret...

At least what I can tell you. Some of the things we did, I can't release.

Lonnie,
I was sure that you would say that in addition to the things you listed, you would have added that you had "NARFLED THE GARTHOK!"
Oh well, maybe that's Beta 3...or maybe I am flashing back to a Conehead movie...

Thank you Lonnie.
The accelerated acquisition of the HDMI signal is very noticeable, and greatly appreciated; it went from annoying my family as we'd change stations with various resolutions, to something nobody notices or comments on anymore.
Now I have to figure out how to address the issue of my wife's garage door opener changing the volume, not a big problem, but the OSD for the volume pops up, and the volume changes by a step (.5db). My son and I started laughing when we realized what was going on.

I was only asking for what Lonnie had promised. When they posted the new Beta2 code, are we supposed to guess at what was fixed? How can you test something if you don't know what to look at? I hardly think the 2 minutes it took for them to post this info, which they finally did yesterday - Thank you - that it was impacting their ability to work on the code. Lets get real...
