About three months ago, it was mentioned that the XSP-1 would be released in September. Is that still the date? Any word on cost??
Best Regards, Stan

I did some more snooping around and I found this thread: emotivalounge.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=preamps&action=display&thread=6779&page=1This thread has dates for the XSP-1 to be: around Christmas 2009 and then Feb 2010. The unofficial word was that it would be between $699 - $799. I couldn't find the thread that I read that had a date of September 2010. Hopefully it will be coming out soon... I've got my credit card in hand and am ready to buy.... Best Regards, Stan

My guess is the next product you will see brought to market by emo is a stand alone DAC unit. What are they calling that, XDA-1? I'm hoping to be able to pick one of those up at Emofest.

They likely will have a demo unit, but I think it is very unlikely they will have units available for sale at that time. I would imagine that the UMC-1 has put a lot of stuff on the back burner. Personally, I'm hoping for a pre-order at Emofest.

Not that I'm looking for one but I think it's the other way around.
Due to the issues with the UMC you won't be hearing about any pending products with release dates until they're available for sale. Too many problems dealing with expectations and promises.

Thanks! Look at those XLR! Enough to hook up a whole room full of sources. Are there no better pics of the back? These are rather blurry.

No doubt that loyal and excited Emotiva customers have been patiently waiting on this....
Hopefully additional product information (better pics and specs) in reference to the XSP-1 will be forthcoming in the Emotiva VIP Lounge....

It may be that we won't see anything else until Emofest. I don't think any higher resolution pictures have been taken, so it would be an additional side project for someone. If we don't have anything more before Emofest, I'll try to get some shots when I'm there.

That looks hot. It will look nice sitting next to my RPA. Can't wait to hear more info and get a clearer look at the front and back panels. Sadly, I will not be at Emofest. Both years it has coincided with Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge. Next year they are not touring so maybe it will be my chance to join the Emo party... Mark.

Well, right now I'm using a USP-1 but will purchase the XDA-1 DAC to use with the ERC-1 along with a set of XPA-1s. Per Emo, the XDA-1 sounds better w/o incorporating the USP-1, so I'll take that component out of the picture upon verifying so.
Now, I'm hoping that incorporating the XSP-1 in conjunction with the XDA-1 proves beneficial...
In further, I've looked at the pictures of the XSP-1-- IMO not the build quality of say a Parasound JC2. But, in all honesty ,the XSP-1 does not cost $4K either.
I look forward to more information on the XSP-1 to include a designers perspective from Lonnie, hopefully.
As long as it's a 'sound' improvement over the USP-1 and improves the sound quality while incorporating the XDA-1, for the price, I'll take one!
