I can just see my XPA-5 with blinking Emotiva Blue lights at the corners. ;D Sweet mother of shiny lights, I hope not! I already turn off the display lights and put a piece of tape over the power button. The last thing I need is more bright blue lights shinning me in the face while I'm trying to watch a movie in a pitch black room. On the other hand it wouldn't be hard to diy a setup like that. something like this... www.allaudioexpo.com/i/pyle_plsl1bl_blue_led_screw_light.html...as long as you could find it in the right size. Or you could just put a small hole through the center of one of the hex screws and run small leads through that. Sounds like a fun project... too bad I hate every stupid blue light in my setup. Why so blue emo... whyyyyyyyy. Why not retro-red or "insert something that rhymes with orange here"-orange. -Sean

Judging from the way your shelf is bending, we know which is the heavy weight there.

Judging from the way your shelf is bending, we know which is the heavy weight there. lol..yea..I may have to replace those shelves with something a bit heavier. The Threshold below it actually is about 15 pounds heavier, but that is on a really thick piece of wood that I could stand on without it bending.

I got my black trims for my XPA-3 last Monday. No hex screws included!!...
I sent an email to Emo,...their answer was: "We do not provide the black screws, and we do not have that type in stock currently. You are the first to ask for them. Thank you"
At my office & factory, I found them at the spare part dept, with same size (dia. x length), hex head, black color,......BUT English thread, no metric thread.
I "forced them" into the hole, slow slow, every screw,....and whala!. Nice look at the end.

Perhaps they should change the description if black screws aren't included. I'd much prefer the screws be included rather than hunting around to find a black set so I can achieve the intended aesthetic.

" Comes with black screws." emotiva.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=33

" Comes with black screws." emotiva.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=33Now I am wondering if I should have waited on these. I'll be getting mine sometime before friday. I don't like false advertising; If it says comes with the blacks screws, then it had better come with them. I am really surprised that EMO has let this slip on by and has not updated the web site much less come on here to say HEY we messed up and we are gonna make it right. Looks like they owe some people black screws regardless. Update:Recived mine today (05-07-09), NO SCREWS in the bag. I will be calling 1st thing in the morning to see what they say. Update:05-08-09, just got off the phone with EMO TECH support, 1st they told me that they do not come with any black screws and that was that. Regardless of how they advertised them, that was it, nothing more to it. Just this is how they come , kinda like a take it or leave it attitude. Not what I expected from EMO customer service. Not the kind of thing you expect to hear and then I was told the website was wrong and they should probably update it. Now I was feeling cheated and being told I'm SOL. I was just about to ask for a return authorization number when someone else in the back ground told the guy that the black screws are on the way and will be shipped out to everyone who has ordered the black trim pieces.

Has anyone else called Emotiva about this with the same kind of answers? I wasn't given a date on when the blacks screws would be arriving/shipping.

What I did, was take off the silver trim pieces, and just put the silver screws back in place (without any trim pieces at all). I think it looks absolutely badass that way. It looks like the silver screws are holding the main front panel in place.

I actually prefer the silver hex nuts with the black trim pieces. My Threshold gear is black with gold hex nuts so it blends right in.

They should be providing the screws with the plates. You get the plates to black everything out, without the black screws you don`t have complete blackout.
Whats the big deal about providing the screws now anyway? Seems like a very simple thing to provide for a company like Emotiva.
