Sounds like a phone call.
It is available for download on the product page if you need it immediately.

I received my ERC-1 the first day they were released. There was no manual in the box and when I called Emotiva they said that the printer was late in getting the Owner's Manual completed and would over-night me one as soon as they arrived (which they did). I have yet to even open the plastic bag it was in. During all the time I have had it I never needed to read the manual to assist me in using the ERC-1. There is nothing complicated about using this CD player and you may never even read it once you are sent your copy, but I would go ahead and call or e-mail Emotiva to let them know your Manual was missing. In the mean time you can download the PDF version from the ERC-2's Product Page. Enjoy your new toy.

I just sold my ERC-1. It came with an owner's manual. I left it in the plastic bag it came in. I also downloaded and printed out the manual. This is the copy I read completely and used when needed. When I shipped out the ERC-1 to the buyer he had a brand new owner's manual.
My new ERC-2 has no owner's manual. I know it's the trend these days. However, I think it would be nice if Emo included a note explaining that the manual was available for downloading and printing. I think it would be more classy if they would take the extra effort to include a manual. Opposed to Roadrunner, I read the manuals from cover to cover. I usually learn and find Emo's manuals very well written. I also always read the entire manual before I even buy a component.
PS: I believe it was from the manual that I learned that all outputs were active at the same time so that one could A/B the digital versus analog signal.

Anyone have anything to say about the new model? I just received my ERC-2 Friday and I plan to perhaps do a review here soon with a lot more detail than below. I do plan to first call Emo in the next day or so to see if some problems I found are exclusive to my unit. The only reason I even mention these below is to see if any other ERC-2 owner's here found the same issues. I have identified the below problems that bother me so far. These are not connected with any SQ issues. However, they are items that I find initially a little irritating since I'm quite picky. *.....defective Emotiva Music Sampler CD (first track noise from transport, disc hole not round or disc shape distorted?) *.....Noisy transport and track advance (seemingly louder than the ERC-1) .....won't play Redbook layer on hybrid SACD ("undisc" error on Norah Jones, will check other SACD's) *.....No owner's manual .....And believe it or not, the same exact skip problem again on the first track, after power on only, just like with the ERC-1 .....Free Emotiva t-shirt too tight (my fault since I need to loose some weight! ;D) * These are issues that I have read about from at least one other owner. SEE UPDATE BELOW

I have an ERC-1 and while the operation of it is pretty simple, I think there should be some mention of how you need to wait until the display says "ready" before inserting a disc. It takes a few seconds for this to happen so I can imagine someone turning on the player, then putting the disc in right away because they don't know any better.

My new ERC-2 has no owner's manual. I know it's the trend these days. Where is this the trend? I can't think of one single item that I have purchased that came without a users manual. Emo does this with quite a few products...........trend for Emotiva maybe.

I think the trend is to go paperless as much as possible these days.

Emo does this with quite a few products...........trend for Emotiva maybe. My Yamaha RX-V667 receiver didn't come with a manual. I was sad to see that it didn't even include a disc with the manual on it (that is pretty standard these days). I had to register on the Yamaha web site, download and print the manual myself. This is a whopping 144 page manual! It should have came printed.

Manuals? That taking business from the Custom Installation folks. Many consumers use these experts because they don't want to have to read a 300 page manual for a Receiver. A printed manual also add cost to the component. Go green baby! Go paperless.

That may have forced me to close the box and return it.......and I'm a Yamaha fan.

Yeah, a receiver without a manual does seem ridiculous as complicated as they are nowadays.

kse, yes this seems to be the trend the last few years. I have bought computers, printers, cameras, and audio components either without manuals or with a CD that contains the manual. To me having an owner's manual on my hard drive is a PITA. I always end up printing them out. Thanks god for my great duplex printing Brother B&W laser printer. We have printed tens of thousands of pages over the life of this printer. Many, many reams of 800 page paper from Costco. So much for going green.
I am one of those that actually reads the manual. Many folks posting here for help do so because they simply didn't read the manual. If anyone can simply plug in a component or try to use one of todays cameras without consulting the manual, they are not from this planet. I bought a Canon G11 high end compact camera a little over a year ago. Every time I browse thru the manual I learn more and more. It is a very complicated machine.
Green is great when practical but the main reason is to save the manufacturers money. I do hate to see this cost cutting move by Emotiva.

UPDATE
I talked to Janna and then Joe at Emotiva Tech Support this morning. We discussed all of these items below and I have noted his responses underlined for your information.
*.....defective Emotiva Music Sampler CD (first track noise from transport, disc hole not round or disc shape distorted?) Emotiva is aware of this...perhaps this has been mentioned on the forum, I'm not sure...I forgot to ask him if I could get another but a member online suggested making a CD-R copy, I did that and it works fine with no problem.
*.....Noisy transport and track advance (seemingly louder than the ERC-1) ....................This is normal for the new transport used in the ERC-2. This is not really a problem for me in normal use, only when I'm listening for it with speakers off and it is not a defect.
.....won't play Redbook layer on hybrid SACD ("undisc" error on Norah Jones, will check other SACD's ... another member had 4 that wouldn't play) .................... Emotiva is aware of this. An upgrade will be issued. He said to check back in the future.
*.....No owner's manual .................... This is a go green policy and no manuals will be included. I will print one out for myself.
.....And believe it or not, the same exact skip problem again on the first track, after power on only, just like with the ERC-1 .................... Emotiva is aware of this. An upgrade will be issued. He said to check back in the future
.....Free Emotiva t-shirt too tight (my fault since I need to loose some weight! ;D) .................... Joe said to get my fat ass down to the gym and start working out! ... Just kidding here, we didn't discuss that issue. ;D
Very friendly and professional help by Janna and Joe. Janna helped me with a last minute order issue on the sale, what a sweetheart! Joe went right down the line and answered all my concerns and confirmed it was not a problem with my specific ERC-2. I'm a happy nut. Great company!
THANKS EMOTIVA! ;D ;D ;D

I'd tell them to keep the t-shirt and send me a manual for the product I just spent hundreds of dollars on.
