Just finished watching episode 4 - if you did a poll of which of the 6 got pulled first to watch, I imagine 4 would be way in the lead.
Anyway, the Blu Ray version is well worth buying. Picture and audio quality far exceed the previous DVD versions, especially considering the age of the movie but regardless, an excellent job was done on both. Dialog is very, very clear and Lucas did a great job on making use of the surround sound.
In the scene where Luke is eating with his Uncle and Aunt and brings up the subject of Obi Wan Kenobi - does anyone else out there think that Uncle Owen's part could have been played by John Belushi? Their mannerisms are so similar!
Also - silly challenge of the day: if you want something crazy to do, go through one whole day talking like the Sand People. Like when you go to a restaurant or call someone on the phone, etc. ;D

Now that is a silly challenge...sounds like fun! I was just thinking of the look on people's faces when you start talking that way to them... and how you get even more impassioned when it is obvious they have no idea what the heck you are trying to say. ;D

I've also read some audio dropouts from some members over at AVS Forum. * But Picture & Sound quality is real nice on those Blu-ray discs. P.S. I will be getting this 9-Disc set. ...Or should I wait for the 3D versions? - And by the way, different sets are also available in two sets of 3 discs (movies) in each set, on Blu-ray (of course) for $29.99. They are the exact same movies as in the Complete Saga 9-Disc set, whic is $79.99 (also in Canada, same price, for two days only).

Bob, I believe the other two releases (the ones that have the two trilogies available independently) are just the same movie discs packaged separately...minus any of the bonus discs. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I just checked, and you are right! You can get the first three movies (3-Disc set only), for $29.99 (in USA; in Canada it's more, $44.99! ). And you can also get the three prequels, also for $29.99 (3-Disc set). And all those 6 movies are the same as in the Complete Saga, and as altered by George Lucas (from the original Theatrical versions). >>> Ya, we all know how George likes to "play" with his own pre-fabrications! Perhaps in a not too distant future, the original Theatrical versions will be made available. Till then, I bet the 3D versions will come sooner.

Till then, I bet the 3D versions will come sooner. I agree 100%. We are more likely to see 3D BDs of the saga before we will ever see the original, unaltered trilogy on BD. George Lucas contends that the original films do not exist anymore... BTW. I picked up the nine disc set. Watched episode 1 last night, episode 2 tonight, 3 tomorrow, 4 will be on Monday...etc. So far, so good. Sure, I would rather have the original trilogy unaltered, but in the meantime I am just happy to see these hit BD.

Yeah, I will pick the Complete Saga set perhaps tomorrow at my local store. ...Eighty bucks.
* I'll watch 'THOR' tonight, in 2D first (3D tomorrow night).

I've had it and it is extremely frightening, not being able to say what you mean and what did come out was gibberish.

Agree. We watched Ep 4 Monday evening and it was considerably better in PQ and SQ than the DVD that we also (groan) own. Haven't had a chance to watch Ep 5 yet but hopefully will this weekend Just finished watching episode 4 - if you did a poll of which of the 6 got pulled first to watch, I imagine 4 would be way in the lead.
