That would be a long ride! Bob stinks! I love Bob! Just use a muzzle if he posts / talks too much. Mrs Jamrock is a great sleeper and I am a listener while I drive. Bob would do a great job keeping those 2 occupied for the long ride! ;D

That is very true about UMC owners getting defensive when negative things are said about it's performance or bugs. The same can be said about the other Emo gear as well. But I think it has more to do with owners defending Emo from an emotional attachment to the company, not so much to a particular piece of gear. I'm guilty of it myself, but only when it's coming from a true troll. In Bill's defense, I don't quite see how people can possibly have a problem with what he posts about the UMC. He's not here to diss the UMC. He's here offering his opinion from the real experiences he's had with the UMC. He's had plenty of good things to say about it, but those things go in one ear and out the other because of the negative things he follows up with. Relax UMC lovers. You love the UMC just like I do, and that's all that matters. There's just no sense in getting upset over a pre/pro. Especially a pre/pro that's been out for about two years and one that's pretty much at the end of it's life. Let's move on and look forward to the possibly great future that Emo has in store for us. This is just silly to attack a fellow member/s because of a few bad things they may have said about a piece of gear. UMC lovers lol I divorced mine it was the best thing I ever did . I know there working on a FW to fix it

Your 100% right Bill. It was completely uncalled for to post the points I posted. PM would have definitely been the route to take there. My apologies to readers for being hypocritical (were not all perfect.) ;D

Folks, Pop & Billmac have won and are sharing the Mr Congeniality forum prize. I was thinking that it would have gone to Bruce and I. So Pop & Bill will have to buy the drinks at Emofest. Hooray!

I mean were talking Tennessee here. Lets just wheel in a keg, get a couple handles of Jack Daniels, put on our trucker hats/bubba teeth, post up on a cooler and say "yep" "mmmhmm" "that speaker sounds good right der"
I'm in! I'm going to Emofest next year, And will be buying multiple beverages, Bruce/Jamrock/Bill. I just hope you old farts can hang with this 26 year old ;D ;D ;D
It sounds like too much fun to miss out on.

But I think it has more to do with owners defending Emo from an emotional attachment to the company, not so much to a particular piece of gear. Perhaps some owners get defensive because they truly have no problems whatsoever with their UMC-1's.. Like me for example, mine works perfectly always has. Leaving asside manufacturing issues, the only explanation for that is the source to the UMC-1 is the true source of the problem. That and the unbelievably loose HDMI/HDCP standards and applications that cause problems for just about everybody. So accusing someone who says that they no issues with their UMC-1 of having some emotional attachment either to their UMC-1 and/or to Emotiva in general may not be an accurate assessment. Cheers Gary

That's the one! Get that and an SPL meter, (I believe the Rives disc is set up to work with one from Radio Shack but anyone should work), and you're on your way.

Nice find, but those files only go up to 300Hz. You'll need something else to get your mids and highs in line.
