Stuck at home due to a major catastrophe at work. Plan to leave in a few hours after some sleep but likely get to Jax around dinnertime...

The Legacy room with the Whisper HD...one on the best so far along with Krell. Martin Logan room playing SACD WYWH 5.1 with 5 subs....awesome. Lots of tweaks, records, cd's also and Grado headphone section (20% discount). Going to check YG this morning. Incredible stuff, great folks, easy going crowd.
How do you upload pics here?

For those who couldn't make the show, here are some pictures. I will tell you that these pictures don't come close to doing some of these speakers justice. The MBL line was the show stopper for sure. The Legacy sound sounded good with the Emo gear. They actually sold the towers they were using with it before I could get a picture of the actual setup they were using. AXPONA 2012 PhotosPassword is Emotiva. Bet no one would have guessed that ;D

I thought of some slogans after attending this year’s (and my third) Axpona.
“What plays at Axpona, stays at Axpona!” a dig on prices, 20,000 dollar power conditioners, 175,000 dollar amps, OK, a pair of amps, 118,000 dollar “mini” towers. I won't even discuss cables.
“If you’ve seen one Axpona, you’ve seen them all.” OK, actually you should see and hear at least one audio trade show, but seriously the set ups are almost identical as the last 2 years. The Future of Audio is – The Music Server. Now that we can put those wave files on a hard drive is there any reason to swap out discs? There were very few turntables around. I admit mine has been collecting dust because of remote control and recent ripping of my entire CD collection.
Trivia observation, most audio vendors have the same music collection, which can be a good thing because you can compare same songs, but it makes me wonder if they know there is a whole ocean of music out there, sure there is a lot badly mastered stuff, but my music collection is constantly growing with great stuff.

I also really liked Bob Carver's "Line Source" speakers. Gotta admit I thought it was cool to be able to talk with Bob, a legend in the stereo world.

Mbl's on sale from 70000 to 29950 Maybe 4 of us could split the cost and each of us could get them for 3 months out of the year. They were impressive but I read they are very finicky and must be set up exactly.

He pulled back the black curtain in the back of the room to show me how he had lined it with mattresses from the hotel.
