Ain't it cool... I never had a system that was any good until last year, so I understand your feelings. I grew up in Hialeah, with not much. It is great to reach a goal that is just for "me". Congratulations and good job. It looks to me like you picked well. I bet it sounds great.

I'll echo the comments above: definitely like the clean approach. I can't stand that boxes-all-over-the-floor-with-cables-everywhere look that seems to be in fashion.
Any reason for the speaker placement? Not sure how the room & listening spot are situated, but they seem rather close together.

Looks excellent and I have the same Emo Components, and I'll echo everyone else, very clean look and excellent rack, it makes it all look clean enough to be in a magazine. Good Job and enjoy and we hope to hear more from you in the forum!!! ;D ;D ;D

Congratulations! It looks very nice! I don't know the size of your room but you will get even more out of it by setting them further apart if you can. The soundstage will widen though I suspect you already know that. Just pay attention to your toe-in angles to get the right sound for you. When I put mine further apart, I had to really fiddle with it to get the right balance but it was so worth it.

I have a small room. This is why they are so close. I want to move the system to my living room, but then my wife is against it. Thanks for all the kind words. It took me a long time to build it. The sound is unreal. Not sure why anyone would want a sloppy look with cables everywhere. I like it clean and neat.

Even if your room is small you should try to optimize the placement of the loudspeakers. Placement ala Cardas improves the sound immensely. www.cardas.com/pdf/roomsetup.pdf

I will see what I can do, but it's our office and my wife works in there all week. Not sure if I could get away with rearranging the room. I would if it was my own.. Thanks for that info. It will come in handy

By the way. When I sit in one area of the room right now the sound comes alive. It's full and balanced. When I sit at my computer it's a bit bright and the low end doesn't seem to be there. I can also walk out of the room in to my living room or kitchen and it sounds way better..

The Polks's are great. Very clean and clear mids and highs. The low is a bit lacking but I use a Martin Logan sub. Polk does have a 8in driver upgrade that I will be putting in later down the road. As far as sound goes. I only have two other speakers to compare them to. I have a pair of Klipsch RF82's and they are by far a better speaker in the mids. I also have some Polk RTI 8'S that sound very harsh when compared to the LSi series. If you listen to a lot of hard rock the LSi series will not be what you want...

Just curious, how far apart are your speakers? They look kinda close together for imaging...
Just wondering :-)
