The Ert 8.3. Ooooh can't wait till these arrive. I can finally remove the kef q's and pump up the volume. I already had the 6.3 as my center just needed the 8.3 to complete the L/R. Will post pics when they arrive.

^ Just buy it. Sometimes it's easier to apologize than to ask permission! I'm not married so it isn't an actual consideration for me at the moment but I will never ask permission. I understand that in a relationship sometimes compromises are necessary and I understand that sometimes restraint is required when the budget simply won't allow it. I also understand that sometimes one is simply wording something in a certain way rather than actually doing things that way but never ask permission.

You will be soooo asking for permission. ;D ;D The trick is sometimes it's hard to differentiate between one big electronicky jigamig box and another isn't it? I mean heck wasn't that one from the cable company?!

And if it comes with some jewelry on top, you might get her to start associating stereo equipment with good things =P

Those of you worried about asking your wife for permission need to get a new wife, IMO. She's not your mother, she's your partner...

Do let us know what you think Kalel! I'm most interested in how it does in music and whether you think a subwoofer would help or not be required at all. I see that they listed the bass response around mid-40's but it was also listed at a very narrow +/- db range which makes me think that it's possible there is a greater bass extension than the conservative ratings. But I'm wondering if they purposely designed a cut-off or sharp roll off for the speakers. So, I would also like to know what you think about the bass extension.

You guys are funny. I really don't need to ask for permission, but its more of me second guessing myself to know if I really want it or need it. This goes for everything else I purchase. Every time I ask, I get the same answer, "just make sure its what you want, make sure it has warranty and check the return policy in-case something goes wrong". Since I want the 70" elite model TV, the amp would just set me back a little. I currently have the Denon 3808ci so I already know I will need to have more power to drive these puppies. I just don't know if I should wait since the new models are coming out or just purchase now since its CHEAP! Plus i just got some even more good news... I start a new job tomorrow that is half the distance of my previous job and I will be driving away opposite of traffic. I am so WIN! I guess i should just hit the buy now button muahahaha. Hurry Emotiva send me my shipment confirmation... lol Actually now that i am thinking about it. I just need to drive the front 3 with more power so the xpa 3 is enough, since the back 4 are in the ceiling and the Denon should handle those just fine....

Hence divorce rates are at 60% and climbing.... Heaven forbid any of us find our identity in our relationships to others then solely by our own merit
