Hello,
This is my first post. I have been looking to replace my 11 year old Pioneer Elite receiver and had planned to get one the new Elites, but after briefly researching the new UMC-1, I decided that separates were the way to go.
I am on the UMC-1 waitlist, and am trying to decide what amp to get. I really should have pulled the trigger on the LPA-1, but was still deciding whether to go for separates or keep my previous plan. I have a 3.2 set-up now with Klipsch KSP-300s and a KSP-C6. Obviously I could go for the UPA-7, but I don't ever foresee being able to do a 7 channel set-up. I am interested by the idea of two BPA-1s, but who knows if I could find any. Also, would it be a problem to only use one channel on one of them? Or should I just bridge that one? Also, I am intrigued by the DZA-1, but I cannot find any information on it besides what is in the great table at the top of the thread. Do we know anything more about these or an expected availability date?
Thanks for any help in advance.

I would check to see if a B-stock LPA-1 is available. These will be significantly less than the UPA7 (or a new LPA-1), if they are still around. If you only use a few channels of the LPA-1, I think it balances the load somewhat and you may get a slightly better wattage output than driving all 7 channels at once, check with Lonnie about this though...

Thanks for the advice. I ended up being able to get an LPA-1, so now I am just waiting for the UMC-1.

Dann/Lonnie:
(Apology in advance if this info was posted somewhere earlier)
Can you guys please post the following info for the XPA-2 thru 5 amps...
1. Crosstalk numbers. 2. Voltage gain (is it the same 32db for both the RCA and XLR connectors?)
Thanks.

Doug- Think its time to update original- noticed that specs aren't there for the XPA-3 (yes, I know they are online) but would be nice to have in one place- or if you would like to send me a copy of the original, I will do it and send it back to you so it can be updated! Nik

I probably won't get this on there as I don't have the details and the units are no longer in production.

I have added a "Gain Structure" row on the 2nd Generation spreadsheet and put in the number for the MPS-2. I also assume this is the gain for the 200W module and not the 2-channel module which I assume to be lower. The width has to be ~ 17" as the MPS-2 does not have the piano glossed wooden side panels like the MPS-1 does, making the MPS-1 wider. I also removed the DZA-1 as it doesn't look like it made the cut and replaced it with the UPA-2.

I was concerned about this when I had both and was assured that the gain structure is the same for both the EPM-300 and EPM-2150 modules.

Can someone please confirm the actual depth of the IPS-1. The manual indicates it is 16", the comparison chart lists it at 17 1/2", and the webpage (http://www.emotiva.com/ips1.html_) shows it as 16 7/16". This is very important to me because if it is not less than 17" including binding posts, it won't be suitable for me. My space limitation rules out all of the current models, so my fingers are crossed.

In the PDF, under "Dimensions", the spelling of height is "heigth".

Dare I mention it says "Dampening" instead of "Damping" too ... or is there a new water-adding feature included now? ;D
