I believe the 4 ohm power output of the XPA-3 is 300 watts not 350. Thanks for all the effort that went into this!

I like the look with the silver side plates removed.

I like the look with the silver side plates removed. I second that.

Yes, it's a must. Very good looking with them removed.

The black trim kits are nice too.

Add UPA-1? Should still consider adding this to the main Emotiva site IMO.

Anyone know what the rating of the XPA-5 and XPA-1 is for the Class A portion of the power?

^ XPA-1 has 0,5R emitter resistors and approx. 10mV bias voltage over them. This translates to 20mA bias current per power transistor, which there are 24pcs per channel/mono = 480mA total bias current. Push-pull (complementary) amplifier operates in Class A for double it's bias current, so the Class A region is calculated with 960mA. XPA-1 being balanced amp, both amps/channels see on only half of the load's impedance, ie. driving 8R load both see 4R load. So we should calculate the bias with 960mA into 4R if we want to know how long the amp stays in Class A driving 8R speaker.
This means approx. 3.7 watts of Class A region driving a 8ohms load and 1,85 watts driving 4 ohm load etc.
XPA-5 might have smaller bias, I presume.
Btw. I think that only XPA-1 is really a "discrete" design. The pictures of the XPA-2 already show that there are op-amps used in the input buffet, yet the description says it's discrete, which it clearly is not...

Any thoughts on adding XPR-5 to the list?

Indeed, that does look like the original one. Sweet! I started working on an Excel version, I would have done PDF but it's a work in progress and the formatting doesn't interest me right now. I don't have all the older amps, should I add them? I included xformer and capacitance since they always interest me. Thoughts/comments/complaints/requests? Attachments:

The computer that I'm on right now can't open the file but I'm all for adding the older models as they are even harder to find info on and everything in a single place would be very convenient.
