Doesn't anyone care about global warming anymore? I want to have oceanfront property here in Utah, and shorter winters. Of course if that happens, many of you will all have substantial flood problems. ;D Doug I care about global warming just as much as the Canadians and Russians do. Which is to say, I think we're rooting for it.

PLEASE LONNIE GIVE US THE XPA-1XL. This would be a direct competition to the Pass Labs X600.5 $22,000 amp. I would buy your XPA-1XL today!!!!! The higher class A the better, If I can turn off my heater in the winter thats fine with me I'm not sure why no one pointed this out, but I'm pretty sure I know who the "L" in XPA-1L came from.

I would say that it (more than likely) stands for "Light" It could, however, be "Lite" or "Lonnie" as this was a pet project of his.

I figured it meant L(ow profile) or L(ite), but it occurred to me that since you designed it, I like to think it means L(onnie Edition).

Hi there, I've seen on the back that there's just a switch for the status led... Does it mean that the XPA1L doesn't have the blue vu meter like the other XPA* amps? Sergio

Sergio The back plate is a UPA-1 back plate, so we're not really sure at this point. The device in the picture is a pre-production unit and can change before it releases. Doug

It doesn't have a meter like the XPA-1, just a status light.
Also, the Class A/ AB switch has been moved to the front panel so you can change it on the fly if you want.
Hope this helps.

Interesting. I wonder if it would be positioned above the power button or above the XPA-L lettering. Maybe in the center of the glass panel?

That's too bad. I like the meters. I'll probably buy a pair anyway to go with my XSP-1 when it gets here!
