Finally got this beast in the house last night. Havent done any critical listening yet. Just pretty much got it connected and ran a few CD's through it to make sure everything was ok. I also ran a few songs/movie clips at 5db's over reference just make sure the breaker would hold (im using a 20amp outlet on a 15amp circuit) which it did. Im hoping to get some more movie/music time in this weekend. I'll post impressions then, but so far if this baby sounds as good as it looks i'll be in for a real treat! ;D

Is the weight of the XPR-5 that concentrated on the left side? Your whole room is leaning to the left now... or is it that way from using the 4 subs? ;D Seriously, congrats! I hope your house has a strong foundation.

I love the Reference Series appearance and I know they sound as good as they look. Your LS6s will love the additional power.

Thanks man! The Cinenova had some good power too, so the LS's have been well fed. I expect this move to be more of a sidestep really(I'll find out exactly how that goes in the next few days). But aesthetically, there's no comparison.lol Plus add in a warranty and the 12v trigger and I'm a happy camper! ;D

I jumped right on it and got one of the first three "outofthewoods" produced. You will be very happy with the craftsmanship, I cannot find a single seam or blemish anywhere (and I have the piano black version). I opted for all the upgrades as well. (no-res, caps, etc). Its by far the best center speaker I have heard. Enjoy!!

Great looking room, and setup you have there. With the headroom provided by the XPA-5, I can only imagine the headroom on the XPR-5...that has GOT to be awesome! Loud, clean, and dynamics for days...

Does your cabinet provide forced-air ventilation? With that much equipment packed so tightly together, that would be my main concern.
Sweet-looking setup, BTW...!!

No forced ventilation. But the cabinet does have vents on the sides and the front doors as well. Also the back is pretty much wide open. The gear actually stays pretty cool (slightly warm to the touch) in there.

Quick update: I did get a chance to demo some of my favorite action scenes last night. These are scenes that I've watched a ton of times and im very familair with. Well there was a few instances were I was caught a little off guard (startled really) by the dynamics of the XPR. Like I've mentioned before, the Cinenova I was previously using was no slouch, but it seems like this guy just takes it to another level. More to come............

Looks awesome edogg. Are there grates on the front doors? I think I would remove the middle door if it were mine. That XPR-5 is just begging to be seen. LS6s and XPR-5, must sound killer
