Tony I do not. I've thought about getting a mic to measure response but i would only use it once or twice....

Matt, I'm very interested to hear your thoughts on all around build quality(driver & amp) and just your general thoughts of your Power Sound sub, being that they are a direct break off of SVS. Congrats on your subwoofer.

Matt, I am sure this will be an excellent sub, with the SVS guys behind it and all that. I have a question though...Are you still planning to build a subwoofer? A while back, you were working on CAD drawings (IIRC) and trying to come up with a name. Just curious as to weather you have scrapped the idea, or if it is just on "pause" at the moment. I only ask because I assume that you could build a subwoofer that would make me cry on sight. ;D Either way, I am sure the PS Audio sub will certainly "rock the house" very well.

Dave, I did scrap the idea. The weight was outrageous!! But have always wanted to make a pair of book shelf speakers with an aluminum cabinet. This will weigh much less than a sub enclosure Gr Research makes some good kits. 6.5" woofer and a ribbon tweeter w/ sonicaps

Yes, I can imagine that an all aluminum subwoofer enclosure would be extremely heavy! Is the idea for am aluminum enclosure for uniqueness/looks, or were there specific sonic properties you were looking for? Having watched you build/machine may pieces now, I am sure you have all of this down to a calculated science. What surprises me the most, is how fast you can get projects done. Watching from the lounge, it seems like it all unfolds/comes together in "real time" with no delays. Certainly something to be proud of. Not only the skills, but the quality of the finished products, I mean.

I can usually get these projects done pretty quick. The TT~2 went very fast But the TT~1 took a while.... Hopefully i don't break the house with this new sub. I'll have 5 15" woofers ;D

Since i moved everything around, i've had a horrible hum. It gave me a headache before going to work today. So after just getting home, i looked for solutions. Right away i pointed my finger at the Directv box. But nothing worked with that. Hey maybe it's the Panny..... It was. Unplugged the TV and the hum went away. So i broke the ground pin of the plug. Plugged it back in and no hum I know this is not recommended but it was getting very annoying and the TV is getting very old. So if it dies it gives me a big ass reason to get a new one ;D

Was the Panny and the rest of the gear plugged into the same power bar? If not, that usually fixes the problem. If all had the same powerbar, then it was something else plugged into the Panny, like CATV coax.
Sincerely /b

Dave maybe i forgot or didn't read it, have you gotten a TT yet? I know you were posting pictures of your lp's. Did you get a technics? No, I ended up going cheap and getting the AT-LP60. I have it hooked up to my Yamaha, and am currently using the 'tables built in phono-pre. The SQ is "ok", but I am waiting until I get it hooked to the XSP-1 before I give it a full review. Using the built in phono-pre I didn't expect a whole lot, and it delivers about what I expected... ;D To be honest, I was more disappointed in the build quality than the SQ. More than issues with the 'table, though, I have found myself frustrated with the format (the records themselves) more than anything. I will go into more detail, once I put it to work connected to the XSP-1. The XSP-1 should be here tomorrow. As such, I am also planning to drive to my storage unit, grab my XPA-1s, and pull stuff out/swap stuff around with my setup, and going straight 2 channel. (due to space constraints at the moment) After getting all of that switched around, and seeing how it all sounds, I plan to post my "review" thread for the 'table and XSP-1.

Just renting this house, so i don't really want to change things but when we get a different house it's free game. The Directv has always caused me problems. I can turn the power off on the box and the hum goes away but we need that to work (the lady likes to watch shows while grading her students papers), so i tried the tv and that worked lol.

FedEx once tried to deliver at 8:03 AM, the earliest I've ever had at my place. I slept right through it since I worked until 5 AM that day. Looking forward to your thoughts on the new gear. If I'm ever around your state, I would gladly pay a ridiculous admission price to hear your setup.
