Are the XPR-1 and XPR-2 amps going to require 20-amp circuits? I believe so. I'm not 100% sure though. I thought there was a post that the transformer might be slightly smaller than the XPR-5.

While it is true that Emo recommends 20Amp circuits for the XPR-5, I have been successfully running one for close to three months with the Furman 20Amp to 15Amp "converter" that Big Dan linked to (or recommended) from Sweetwater: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ADP1520/I have absolutely cut loose the XPR-5 now 2x at reference level +, and have not yet tripped the 12Amp breaker on the converter. That being said, when I add 3 x XPR-1, I don't think I will be so lucky...gonna need the electrician to come out.

The XPR-5 has a 3.3 kVA toroidal power transformer, the XPR-1 & XPR-2 will have a 2.5 kVA toroidal power tranformer.

Yes allot of money but think about the value of these amps IMHO way above and beyond the price. I'm in love with the XPR-1 already, why? ya can't have too much power.

Until reports from Emofest, I thought the XPR-1 was supposed to be 1,499...and there's been a part of me that thought maybe the report from EmoFest was mistaken. That's the only thing that makes me think it could be true. But I've never heard of Emotiva sending a catalog, either...

Alright not a problem...I'm N.W Coast so you'll have to wait a while. It's only 12.18pm here...
I had a quick look around the website and saw nothing there that made me remember filling out a form to get a catalog. However I do subscribe to a number of Audio Mags so it's possible it came through a marketing drive.
Look for it around 10 -11pm EST
Regards

I remember reading about a player who got cut from the baseball team.-- He first found out about it by reading the newspaper.

What speakers are you guys going to be using these monsters with? Sorry, I didn't see this earlier. My system is ideally going to be configured like this: Front Left - XPR-1 driving Revel F12 (the F12 will be replaced with the F208 in 2013) Center - XPR-1 driving Revel C12 (the C12 will be replaced with the C208 2013) Front Left - XPR-1 driving Revel F12 (the F12 will be replaced with the F208 in 2013) Left & Right Surrounds - XPR-5 driving Revel F12 x 2 (the F12s will be replaced with the F208s in 2013) Yes, I am a little crazy in the head.

I've always been good with numbers, hence the Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics as well as Applied Statistics, not to mention my XPR-5 is getting lonely for another Reference level two channel power amplifier! Can you say XPR-2?!!! ;D
