So many of you know me here. I originally joined in 2010. At the time I was interested in the UMC-1. Purchased it and had a great time with it. Now fast forward...... After a few years I have seen many different pieces of gear in my setup and my DIY portfolio is about to burst ;D I like and dislike the forum. The main reasons why I dislike this forum, is people not relaxing. It's a forum. Your avatar is not real. You have no authority here. You do not rule the world. We need to give impressions and reviews on gear, so others can learn and make smart decisions on future purchases. We need to be happy for other members. We need to offer help and encouragement to those that are stuck. We need to realize that one persons setup may or may not be as expensive as the next guys setup. We need to be patient for things. Remember good things come to people who wait. We need to not bash others because of their opinions. We need to be respectful of members hearing or not hearing differences in cables, bi amping etc....... WE NEED TO BE A HAPPY FAMILY  I just wanted to get away, that's all. It's a great place here. Many of you I have personally met at (2) Emofest. Now I'm back and my face plates are coming back to me this Friday. Gold anodized, oh yeah i just said that ;D |

Nice post and may I add to your list:
We need to also be respectful of members not hearing differences in cables, bi amping etc.......
(It goes both ways, that is the purpose of a forum IMO.)

Don't sweat the petty stuff, just remember to pet the sweaty stuff.
Sounds like a soap opera around here at times. Must be a lot of old folks because my skin is much thicker.

Welcome back! How are you enjoying the sub?? I'm enjoying it more and more everyday. My vinyl playback is excellent because of this sub (XS-15). I have a Dayton Audio Omni Mic V2 system coming to me. Let's see how low it can really go ;D |

Welcome back you bring a lot of flavor to lounge.Yes we ALL should try to get along but if some of us do not except others views on gear from other manufactures we will always be fighting.I know this is EMOTIVA LOUNGE but we all should be able to have our own views as that is why a FORUM is used.I have no idea why 2 threads were LOCKED in the last couple days and no reason was given for this action.I know it is an EMO FORUM but sometimes we all have to be able to talk things out even if it gets heated.We all have our opinions and it would be pretty dull if we all agreed.So could we have a reason why those threads were locked as we are ALL Lounge members?I took some heat for asking a question and I did not want to start a mess But some took it the wrong way and the thread was locked.Why because WE ALL have our opinions?

I agree with all that Matt. I just try not to take all this too seriously. I think many times so many posts are so silly that I don't even look at the thread. Or a lot of guys ask questions that have no right answer, or many right answers so it gets into "my answer is more correct than your answer". So I largely don't even bother looking at those threads anymore..
This is so subjective. There are few if any right answers to anything...

V5 version of Proboards does have a block member feature. Go to anyone's profile in v5 and in the gearbox drop down, in the upper right, you can click Block. Or go to your own Profile, click Edit Profile, go to the Privacy tab and scroll down. Member Block List. You can also block users from sending you PMs.do this by viewing your inbox, and then clicking the "Preferences" button in the top right.in there, you will be able to enter in usernames of those you don't want to receive messages from. (you can do this now BTW) These two features alone will solve many problems here.  |
