What is Alan trying to say? I had a hard time following his post. Anyway, I also sent my UMC-1 in about a week ago because I thought the sub out stopped working, but they said it is working fine... There was great communication the whole time from Emotiva as to what was going on and I'm waiting to get it back. So my point is, Emotiva's customer service is top notch, as is their warranty service. Its unbelievable how they could provide that level of service given their relatively low priced gear.

I purchased UMc-1, upa-3 and two mon blocks, forget the name. with in firstr 6 months, unc-1 wont load, returned to emo, it returned to me, as it left me, not loading, Label shipped to me by emo, unit drops off map for 7 months, emo says they dont know, but It aint us cause you never used the fedx label we shipped and we dont keep the tracking number, sorry, real sorry but, thats it Bud. Then !!!!!! unit arrives on door step wrappped in shinny new EMO wrapping tape !! After Emo had recieved it, the fedex label had been cashed in, or fedex shipps free. Unit was then again shipped back to me in the same condition it had been in 7 months ago. Any one else see this as a terrible sign of trouble with EMO ? what happpened to the UMC-1 new replacwement I gave up on ever being fixed or finished, how embarrasing. It time for the new replacement for that unit to be out soon.Electronic companies with out new product line improvements are doomed. Am I the only one, or does emo, clip down all negative posts ? could nmot find complaint string, every healthy company has one ? What I got was this from his post. There was trouble with the UMC-1. He shipped it back and it arrived back still having the same issue. Then he shipped it back but apparently he didn't use a fedex label provided by emo or he didn't hold on to his tracking number. Then the UMC-1 "dropped of the map" and emo says they don't know where it is or anything about it because he didn't provide them a tracking number so sorry, but you're out of luck and a UMC-1. From this I'm assuming emo says that they never recieved it and since he didn't have tracking number they can't confirm that it ever got to them. Seven months after he shipped it, it arrives back at his place wrapped in "emotiva tape". Which means or implies that they actually did recieve it and sort of sat around for seven moths. The unit he recieved back still had the same issue. Then people piled on to him when he complained about it. ;D He also asked about an updated "replacement" UMC-1 which wouldn't have these problems and was upset that there wasn't one. (I guess he is not aware of the UMC-200. ) and that he believes emotiva deletes negative posts about their company because there is none that he could find on the forum.

Kraemer welcome back! I can sympathize with you as I get frustrated by the juvenile snooty attitudes some threads can take on. But this is the only audio thread I religiously follow and read. I probably check it twenty times a day on my phone and I have just about the worst case of ADD you've ever heard of. As long as I am not spending quality time with my wife, its a welcome distraction. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
But as a fellow DIYER I have attached some super main biwire speaker cables I just finished last night. I have been working on these for months and have several half completed posts I never finished as the project got side tracked. Here are some basic specs
4 X 7feet lengths of 7awg silver plated Teflon wire twisted to about twp to three twists per inch. This is then hand wrapped in 5 layers of Teflon tape. The PTFE tape is then sprayed with ten coats of black Plastic Dip for protection. Finally they are covered by black/blue braided sleeving which is terminated with gold/dark blue cylindrical splitters. The locking bananas are Sonarquest Carbon Fiber rhodium plated. They are certainly Furutech knockoffs but at a 1/4 the price and since I used my ebay bucks I figured why not!
Let me know what everyone thinks!

Nothing wrong with a little break now and then. I am an administrator or moderator on several vehicle based forums. It's amazing how folks get into it with one another over things but it does demonstrate a passion for certain subjects. When it degenerates into name calling and chest thumping, I tend to step in and referee a bit. I expect people to agree or disagree on those forums, just like we do in person. I think the immediate access and the faceless nature of a forum tend to bring out the worst in some folks. I know I've been flamed on forums before by people who would NEVER say such things to me if they were standing within arms reach. So a break can be a good thing because once you start to take such things too seriously on a forum, you need one to maintain some objectivity. Welcome back!

Alan - I can assure you the moderators do not delete posts from members with less than favorable reviews of Emotiva, be it products or customer service. As note previously, it is truly rare for Emotiva's customer service to be cast in a negative light. Given the proper amount of time, they take care of their customers, at least that's been my observations. The moderators will delete posts that are inflammatory or disrespectful to another member. As listed in the Lounge Etiquette rules, profanity, insults, knocking other brands, and generally rude behavior will not be tolerated. These types of posts are fodder for deletion. Opinions, however, are always welcome, even if its not favorable to Emotiva. All we ask is that the conversation remain civil. If you need further help with your situation, I encourage you to contact Emotiva. If I can be of assistance, please don't hesitate to PM me. Cheers! Am I the only one, or does emo, clip down all negative posts ? could nmot find complaint string, every healthy company has one ?
