this is the GUI for both the 112 and 212 subs. The 10 inch is a simpler design.

Will the simpler design also translate into a simpler price?

Most defiantly he is a Eienstein of the audio world He may be more of a Tesla...ha. A little darker, you know? He won't tell you this himself, but he invented the internet. He also can sculpt Rodin's 'The Thinker' out of a 7 foot block of ice with a chainsaw in about 11 minutes. Dann, Dann, Dann, Dann, I thought everyone knew that Al Gore is the founder of the internet, just ask him............Geez

Lonnie beat up Chuck Norris...twice...right after Chuck finished counting to infinity for the second time ;D In all seriousness, this is pretty cool. Nicely done. He may be more of a Tesla...ha. How important is all this room correction stuff? I live in townhome with neighbors on both sides so I really cant crank it up. I dont use my sub when listening to music so I just really want something that sounds clean when I watch blu ray movies. Would these subs be overkill for me?

The sealed subs from Emotiva are the cleanest sounding subs I have ever heard. The are very smooth and simply disappear into the mix of things. You don't have to totally crank them if you don't want to.
You may also want to look into bass shakers to get the real bass fell at lower volume levels without disturbing the neighbors.

The "room correction stuff" doesnt make the subwoofers louder per se, rather it allows you the flexibility of placing the sub(s) in a location that might be less than optimal for a traditional sub while still maintaining the desired flat SPL. i.e. if you place the sub behind your couch in a room that is wider than long, a sub without room correction would have frequencies that would play stronger and other frequencies that are weaker. In the old days, you'd have to move your sub all over your room to find a "sweet spot" to place the sub and live with it placed there. With a correction feature, you place the sub wherever you like, put a microphone where your ears will likely be while you listen, and the software boosts valleys and lessons peaks to give you a sweet spot wherever it is placed. Right guys?

Right guys? In fact, proper room eq will amost certainly LOWER the bass level at frequencies that have a node at the listening position! The goal is to get the level even at all low frequencies. This might involve modest increases at some frequencies, but not much. It is essentially impossible to solve a deep null by increasing output - that wants room treatment. JimB

I really want to know if there are plans to bring out a piece that is just the sub EQ as shown. They obviously could do it cause Dann posted the pics but from my understanding that piece is the amp as well. A stand alone graphic EQ like that would sell big time.
